Right over the dunes from the beach. Sure, it’s a parking lot, but what a location. Here on vacation, SpaceX happens to be having a launch in the morning.

$20 to dry camp overnight on the lot next to the full hook up park ($45 there). You pay when you pull in. They said we could use showers and bathroom on the full hookup side. Nothing special and I probably won’t, but after a beach day I guess it’s better than nothing. Also, said we can fill our water and dump our tanks before we leave. T-Mobile cell service is good.
Walking distance to a few beach bars and restaurants.
We checked out beach access 5 and 6. Each would’ve been $14 (pay right there), but I was hesitant to take our class B+ rv on the sand. The tide was high. Also, those sites aren’t walkable to any restaurants or bars.

Great little campground. $20 for dry camping, but included dump and water and hot showers. Water and dump are at the other county park, but are normally $12 without camping. Free if camping.

Nice walk to the beach. Walking distance to Clayton’s. Good Verizon.

I spent close to 3 weeks here in Day Use area. Just overnighted as was out fly fishing the bayside all day. Basically Day Use and Long Term sides are just parking lots. Long term side is full of huge RVs and people tend to park and stay there long term (snowbirds). It is usually full. You can overnight/camp on Day Use side and several campers most nights. I paid $20 a night....no weekly rate discount. I used shower (warm) on Long term side as facilities were always open. Bathrooms in Day Use only open at 9am or so and closed at 5:30pm. No showers Day Use side. Both washrooms very poorly kept; never cleaned. Toilet paper however was filled daily. Trash bins often tipped over by coyotes. County hasn't installed animal proof bins....shame. Trash was cleaned up by attendants but they did little else, except collect $ and lock up at night. Nice guys but they sat in office all the time. Park not well maintained. Palms branches after storms never picked up, some garbage in grasses/dunes around perimeter of parking area has been there long time. Litttle pride in terms of maintaining place. Wooden platforms for view of beach in disrepair. Basically place is neglected. I was somewhat shocked given I was camping in a fairly affluent resort beach town and these parks were County owned and operated. For $20 I really just got a space to camp or park :roof top tent on my truck. Even water such as outdoor beach showers etc on Day Use area side were turned off. I had to walk to Long Term side for drinkable water...fill my bottles. I stayed and camped here for daily warm shower. If didn't want a shower I would have camped on beach. On positive note, place is totally safe. Police have outpost here and are always driving in and out, and wash their vehicles on day use side. Place fairly quiet.
