Description

* Overnight parking/camping is forbidden,
.....
On this road there are places to stay but they are so close to the road. We drove to this place and stayed the night without problems. It's not really beautiful but ok for one night. There are many mountainbikers that drive the Backbone Trail. There are two pit toilets. Take your garbage with you please!
....
Keine Schilder für No Overnight. Bitte nehmt euren Müll mit!

Latest Check-Ins

It's a national park, we were woken up by a NPS ranger saying that its not allowed to sleep in NP. We only got a warning as its not clear that you enter a national park.

Report Check-In

Stayed two days and we didnt bothered 😄

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 1 night in a SUV. Trail head parking lot with very clean pit bathrooms, close to a fire station. We heard maybe 4 cars drive past, so very quiet. Didn’t see an other car parked until 7AM which were trail users. I would stay again!!

Report Check-In

Gravel car park for trail. Lots of space, couldn't find anywhere else nearby that didn't stop parking at night. No signs saying no overnight parking, except for one for the trail I believe.

Report Check-In

flat area, easy to park with a large vehicle. Some noise from the road but nothing to bother our sleep. Stayed one night from 5pm until 9:30 am, we had one neighbor, no one bothered us.
one couple came around 10pm and went for an hour night bike ride, they were kinda loud but were ok.
In the morning we met 3 very kind local firefighters who came to do their regular cardio workout (hiking with weights) in the woods.
no at&t cell service

Report Check-In

Second time staying here. No issues at all and decent cell signal. One other van and a SUV stayed as well.

Report Check-In

Solid spot along the coast to spend a night. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a full camping experience but it works to lay your head down for the night. We arrived around midnight, set up one tent, and unloaded a lot of our gear onto the ground. Woke up around and left the lot around 8:30. The pit toilets are nice to have, there’s also a picnic table with a cover. It works for a quick visit!

Report Check-In

Great spot.
All campgrounds were closed at night in the area and it didn’t feel that sleeping side of the highway would be allowed, even though there were a bunch of RVs and vans along the way.
Arrived here after midnight, 2 other sleepers, one with the top tent up, so we even dared to open our pop top for the night.
Had a good quiet night and pit toilets were open 24h (at that time).
It’s a gorgeous sunny Sunday today so the parking lot has been crowded early with tons of chatty mountain bikers and hikers. It was full by 9AM.
Also noisy racing cars all morning.
No problem, would return if I’m the area.

Report Check-In

No camping sign. Did not try my luck. Popular place to access mountain bike trails.

Report Check-In

Big flat parking lot, I did see a no camping sign but I was not bothered. Rolled in around 4:30 and only saw one other card come in to use the toilets. Around 8:00AM the parking lot begins to fill up with hikers and mountain bikers.

Report Check-In

Stayed last night. Was the only person here. No problems. Very quiet. 4 bars Verizon! No bars on Tmobile

Report Check-In

Technically not a check-in but a warning. We never made it. Google had us all over the place on back roads trying to get us there including some deadends. Just a fair warning... You may want to look at a map and use your better judgement before Google maps sends you on a wild goose chase.

Report Check-In

good gravel lot. 5 bars Verizon and some/less ATT. two covered tables.

Report Check-In

Pretty much as described. It's a parking lot (mostly level) for the mountain bike trail. No signs relating to parking limits or times. Stayed 1 night with one other van and no issues. Road is close by but very quiet and above the level of the lot itself so feels 'disconnected'. 2 X pit toilets and a few picnic tables. No service with ATT. Road up is steep and narrow with sharp turns at times. Feels like one of those places where a few inconsiderate people could take this away from being a good 1 night stop.

Report Check-In

Perfect place to spend a night. Little bit noisy but gets better late night.

Report Check-In

Large flat parking area with two toilets and four picnic tables. We pulled in around 4:30 and made dinner at one of the tables. Two crews of mountain bikers were around but super friendly, no weird vibes. Pretty quiet overnight with very few cars passing.

Report Check-In

Nice open area on a very quiet road. Didn’t see a pit toilet mentioned in this description. Beautiful morning views.

Report Check-In

On this Road are a lot Slots to maybe stay but it's so close to the road. We drive to this Place and stay the night without Problems. It's not really beautiful but ok for one night. Here a lot of Mountainbiker that drive this Backbone Trail here and leave his cars. There are two Pit Toilets. We have try to stand there where we dont disturb the Mountainbikers.
No signs for no overnight parking. Take your garbage with you please!
