Amazing hike on the volcano | Tourist Attraction

we did the loop and its deffinetly amazing. All the hikes in this park are amazing, but maybe the mosts are sierra nevada and this one. And this one brings you to the prehistoric age... it's just wow. we stayed here in autumn season and the coloful it's totaly crazy. really loved this place.

Indeed the best hike of the park for us.
Not hard, very good effort/pleasure ratio.

We actually did a loop, leaving from in front of the Laguna Captrén parking lot and coming back a little bit more west. The “loop” part is not on all their map signs, but is on maps.me and is signaled on the trail with redish pole and it finishes joining the “Ruta al Llaima/al Volcán” trail. On a hot day might be better to start by where we ended because that part is all the way not covered by trees.

We went to the mirador the last comment talked about, definitely worth (with is actually a parasite cone of the volcano, the yellow pin/circle on the pictures I added).

We did not do that but you also could combine it with the hike going closer the the base of the volcano (Ruta al Llaima trail) or walking all the way to the Laguna Verde or to the south east park entry (trails on maps.me and on their map signs)

From the opposite side of the parking lot on lake captren (along the road) you have the beginning of one of the best hike of this park, and you definitely can't miss it.

It's around 12/13km return (took us 4h).
Beginning in the forest and then you reach the bottom of the volcano and then you just climb on it for a spectacular view about the clouds, the mountains, the lake. Just follow the path is very well indicated.
When you reach end just continue and climb on the mountain in front of you is one hour more return but from there you will have the best best views ever with 5 volcanos, lake and mountains.
Really really worth it !!!
