Something not right?

Description

Paved road most of the way. Then road good enough for a trailer. Lots of camping in the dunes or on the bluff. Beach access. Obviously a surfing spot. Gets windy here.

Latest Check-Ins

We got here and immediately saw whales. We even had the treat
to watch one breach! This was the best place to see the whales. We arrived on a somewhat calm day, however I imagine it can get very windy. One other van parked overnight while we were here. Lovely spot, I would come back again. The last bit of the road is wash-boardy, but any vehicle can handle it!

Report Check-In

The last 5 km of the road was washboard and we took it slow. But really, any vehicle would get in here. If you want to go further north east onto the point, you may have some difficulty with low clearance vehicles. We arrived on a Friday. Except for some sunset viewers it was very quiet. Not so much on Saturday when lots of surfers arrived and kinda took over everything, including our campsite. Threw beer cans everywhere and allowed their dogs to shit anywhere without picking it up. But by sunset, most had left and it was peaceful again. Lots of flies. No cell service. We saw no signs of whales.

Take the paved road from highway one which has a road sign pointing to Conquista Agricola. The paved road goes 27 kilometers from Highway One then ends in a T junction with a blue sign pointing left to Playas Del Pacifico on a sandy dirt road. Our heavy low slung Promaster negotiated the road no problems. There is some loose soft sand and plenty of washboard but the road is built on a solid base as of April 2022.
At the beach you can park where you like among the dunes and bushes. There is a sign requesting no vehicles on the beach. There is hardly any litter and absolutely no facilities. Zero Telcel signal.
This is not a swimming beach but they say it’s good for surfing. Long romantic walks are in order and the onshore breeze will keep you cool.
The villages on the road in had some tiny abarrotes but arriving well supplied is the best plan.

I must have taken a different road then the previous person, mine was not paved and needed 4 wheel drive. I'm glad I made it, this place is beautiful! There are kite surfers here too...and a restaurant set up?? they didn't speak English.
