Something not right?

Description

Space for several small to mid-size campers on the grass. Next to the blue lagoon, actually a river that connects Bacalar lagoon and XulHa lagoon. They charged us 100pp. They have nice clean bathrooms. During the week we were the only ones. Andrés, the guy that takes care of the place, is really nice. On the highway you will see a sign that says PantoHa. It is a ~10 min drive on dirt road. 4x2 ok.

Más de un kilómetro de la entrada por la selva, 4x2 está bien, el portón lo cierran a las 6, los encargados no muy atentos, traer repelentes de insectos

Report Check-In

Buen lugar para estar un par de días. 200P/p, cierran el portón a las 6.

They now charge 200 pesos per person per night. We asked friendly as we read that only 2 weeks ago others paid 150 pesos per night. but they still would like to have 200 (even if we arrived with two vans) We didn't stay as this seems to be just random pricing.

Beautiful place with access to the blue lagoon. Very calm and peaceful. You can camp on a large grassy area with coconut trees. We have two dogs and they were welcome.
Cold showers. Water available to fill our tank.
The road to access has low trees but we made it with our truck camper. We had to cut a lot of branches so maybe it’s better now.
150 pesos per person per night.
Low but ok telcel signal.

Report Check-In

Fantastic location next to Bacalar Lagoon. Toilets $ showers, no WiFi, but why would you want to be staring at a phone with these views.

Report Check-In

A very quiet, somewhat remote place.
The last 2km are a bit adventurous through the jungle. But you will be rewarded with a nice place.
With the camper you stand about 30m away from the water, at the front of the water there are several quite newly built palapas and a jetty for simple water access and for sun bathing.
Bathroom relatively new, clean but somewhat simple (bucket to flush), shower with very little water pressure.
150peso/person

not dog friendly and gate closed at 5pm so we weren't able to stay

Report Check-In

The camping area is a beautiful grassy tree filled location and the beach is gorgeous very quiet

Report Check-In

Wonderful place. A lovely jetty to relax and swim in the lagoon. The toilets and showers are really quite fancy. Only cold water but cleaned regularly and very smart. The place where you camp is about 30m from the lagoon, so not with direct lagoon view but still it’s a pleasant grassy area with shade from palm trees. The other great thing was how quiet this place is - even though it’s high season. We were the only ones there on Friday night and then there were just a few local groups turned up on Saturday but it wasn’t loud at all. We paid 150 per adult and 100 per child. No WiFi, but decent Telcel signal.

Report Check-In

We are at this place since 5 days, wonderful to be here. We paid 150 pp per day.

Report Check-In

There's a new sign on the gate next to road that says it's closed. No reason why, might be closed because of the pandemic, or permanently...

Report Check-In

It was closed … at the end of the dirty road :/ :/ a shame that it was nt indicated at the beginning of the road

Report Check-In

Very beautiful spot. No services when we were there, so bring what you need. Good bathrooms on generator power. 50pp just for day use, 150pp when also camping. Road indeed pretty bad but passable now in rainy season. Friendly guys running the place. Cool 'tree house' cabanas for rent as well.

Report Check-In

We checked it out, beautiful swimming area, nice grass patch for tent camping but... at $150pp/pn we passed! Seems prices around here are going to the moon and yet, no one here!

Report Check-In

beautiful place!
green grass, nice huts, and incredible water colors.
the road to there is in bad shape but doable at a slow pace.
didn't stayed because of the price : 100 per adult and 50 per kid
so 300 for us to stay in our camper.... just crazy!
if price is not an issue then don't miss this place

Report Check-In

we stayed 2 nights there, 100 pesos each, big rv (3,20 high), horrible to get there with a big camper! a few meter in the street we saw 3 other ranches with way better roads after we left :P - better check them first ;)
the place was beautiful and the bathrooms were super new and stylish. there should be a restaurant but it was closed a while ago, a person with a cooling box sold some drinks and snacks.

We stayed 3 nights with our Campervan 8mtr. long, 3.2mtr. height. The 2km driveway through the forest is exiting. A few scratches from branches was worth for this beautiful place with best clear water, nice and clean toilet/shower and very nice and helpful people running the place. Bugs like everywhere at the lake at sunset.

Report Check-In

Great place. About 10 min on dirt road. Not suitable for big campers. Eco friendly. No electric connection. Cell phone works by the lake better. We stayed one night but wish had more time. Only us with three dogs. Lake is very clean and they have kayaks. Their is a keeper there all the time. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

nice, clean place with tree-house cabanas. for 750 pesos, but they went down to 500 as we asked... (we were late and wanted to leave early)
bring everything you need with you. no active kitchen at this time. but the nice guys let us cook on their fire.

! if you don't care about the lack of your car, and drive trough some branches, you could make also with a bigger rig down. No 4*4 needed.

Report Check-In

Great place. It was already close when we arrived but they let us in for 100 pesos pp for the night. Super friendly staff and probably the cleanest bathroom around ! Looked brand new (2019). You can’t directly sleep by the lake but it’s a 2 min walk. I highly recommend an early dip for a lovely swim at sunrise - see pictures :)
