Mirador Laguna Valle Hermoso | Tourist Attraction

Beautiful view for sure. The road to this is fairly straightforward, with a few small river crossings. To go down into the valley is possible with most vehicles but you may struggle to come back if your rig is underpowered, low clearance or very long. Some tight and steep hairpins with loose surface. Very rough and bumpy in places. High clearance useful, 4x4 not necessary.

Mirador is absolutely stunning! Worth the drive.

Road to Mirador is gravel and can be done with just about any rig, just take it slow. We met a 7t Iveco 2wd flat bed along the way..
We thought the road down was pretty easy compared to the earlier posts. Will depend on your size, weight, clearance if you feel comfortable to go down. Normal 2wd passenger car drive there as well.

The road down to the valley is twisty with deep ruts and steep bends. I was on a small heavily loaded motorcycle and worried about being able to return. It was challenging and took some commitment to keep the engine reving and speed up round the bends but I made it. The worst bend was near the top so it's worth walking down the first 500 metres to check if you have any doubts. The road winds diwn about 4km to reach the valley floor. The best views are from the mirador and about 5km beyond the Laguna is a knee deep river crossing.

The road down to this beautiful valley is really a challange. When we returned we had to tow an argentinian car without 4x4. With our toyota landcruiser it was no problem. If you have 4x4 and high clearance the stay in this valley is a must. Without you risk to damage yor car or get stuck.

If you don‘t go to the valle hermoso (in case you don‘t dare to take the road down, which is a bit rough and high clearance is helpful), at least take a look from this mirador, absolutely stunning.
