Description

Rooms and RV parking/camping right in playa las Flores, as you get down you cross a dry creek (it has water just on high tide) and you go into some palms. They charge 5 per person and 5 more if you want electricity

Stayed one night for 10$. Wanted to stay a second night, but needed electricity for that. The discussion about that got a bit weird.

For a Laptop it‘s no fee on top. For plugging in the camper it‘s 10$ on top! We explained, we just would have a fridge inside- no aircondition or something like that. They said ok only the fridge 5$ on top.
When we asked (very friendly of course) for only 6h charging our battery camper for maybe 2$, they got very unfriendly and wanted 10$ again (no 5$ anymore).

So we left (and a friend of us as well…)… not because of the money… it was just to much negative energy there then for us.

Sad, because the beach is really nice! And our first impression actually was good and friendly here.

In our opinion: Better stay at the wild spot with beach view and ask the restaurant (very nice people!) for using the toilets if you are in need.

Similar notes as previous overlanders, it's a great spot and a chilled place. We stayed for a week over Christmas and really enjoyed it. Alicia and the girls took a while to warm up and didn't even tell us about the WiFi and slightly more private showers available, but we chatted to some of the guys and they told us we can use both. We paid $10 for two people and a van. We also hung out in the balcony overlooking the sea when it wasn't being used by clients for lunches, really nice.
The dogs and chickens are super friendly. Great break and super cute restaurants. You can walk to town at low tide so you don't have to move your van. There's a lot of shade and there are level spots to park on.

The toilets are used by beach visitors who pay 25c, but they were clean and nice.

You can also free park on the beach and probably pay just to use the baños.

Report Check-In

Awesome place to chill out. Nice beach break with some locals that surf it regularly. The restaurant down on the beach is decent a little pricey I believe $6 for a burger. Great beach for swimming and just hanging out probably my favorite stay on the pacific coast since mex.

Report Check-In

the place is really nice for surfing and a good spot to stay almost in first row at the beach.
alicia and her girlfriends are not so symphatic but the boy's were very friendly and helpful. we paid 5$ per person which is fair but they charged us 5 $ extra if you use power. that was a bit too much in our opinion.
anyway, the beach is so beautiful and the surfing is amazing. Good restaurants at the beach or easy to buy fish from the local guys. paid 5 $ for a whole tuna and prepared it by ourselve.

Report Check-In

This place is nice for tent camping. With a vehicle you have to stay in the unleveled parking lot. Alicia is very unfriendly, planed to stay a week, i left the place after one night. Can't recommend.

Report Check-In

lovely spot! Didn't see the creek that has water during high tide! Maybe because it's low tide when I crossed. Good wifi! yum Lunch of fish fry! Great place to relax!

Report Check-In

Nice place to spend the night flushing waters and beach front

Report Check-In

As described! Good spot for bike tourers. We got lucky on Easter Thursday as the construction workers had the weekend off. Not the most scenic spot in the car park but beach is super close and the family gave us a table and chairs to be more comfortable. Decent wifi. One quiet night, then lots of people arrived ahead of the long weekend but even then they were respectful, no loud music and everyone wrapped it up pretty early. I would say a great spot for a rest day on the beach.

This beach is gorgeous and being here is much less hectic than being at El Cuco, although you’ll need to bring supplies. Bread man arrives around 3pm, fruit and veg man in the morning, but don’t rely on them. Restaurant out front does a lovely fried fish for $10.

I’ve seen some other posts on different spots indicating that Alicia can be a little short, I understand what they mean but don’t let it put you off coming here. She’s just direct, I liked her. Everything has a price and that keeps things very straightforward. You’ll have to ask about where the shower is and the wifi cause she’ll not offer it up when you check in. The extended family are more relaxed and everyone will do what they can for you.

Report Check-In

This place was and probably will be real beautiful, but right now it’s under construction. You can still camp there and have access to the toilets and outdoor shower, but the workers started at 06.30 this morning and there is less space to park your car. For one night it was fine, but for us it’s wouldn’t be a spot to spend more days.

Report Check-In

Very nice place as described by all. For groceries, ices, El Cuco just at 10mn walking on the beach on low tide.
Just be aware that currently the place is under construction, with workers starting at 6am, from Monday to Saturday at noon, probably some other weeks from now.

Report Check-In

We loved our stay here. The beach is pretty much deserted in the mornings and great for a run. The site has flush toilets that are kept clean and a couple of showers that are cold but have great pressure. Watch out for scorpions though 😬

Report Check-In

Good camping next to the beach (longboard surf 🔥) - 10$ a night with good wifi, toilet, outside shower, possible to fill up your water tank
Do your big grocery before coming here if you’re planning to stay a long time. Some days a car with vegetables and fruits is coming here. You can buy 3,5$ a garafon to the owner.
3G claro and no signal for Movistar

Report Check-In

As described. $5pppn, camping currently in a building. Didn’t pay for electricity as just me on a bike. Wifi good, right on the beach.
Quite a lot of construction happening on site right now but still a peaceful spot.

Report Check-In

Spend for night here, really good place. The shower, although outdoor, is just perfect. Actually one of the best showers we had in a long time. They were cutting down a lot of palm trees in the last two days so it might change the look of the place. On the beach with a lot of chill hang-out places.

Report Check-In

Solid spot. Outdoor shower and bathrooms. $5 a person. Very close to the beach

Report Check-In

Short term note: currently not possible to camp here as los Flores is hosting a surfing competition and Rancho Alicia is basically a construction site. The comp is building 2 temporary houses/ accommodation on their property. Loads of workers working through the night and trucks parked in the camping area. Competition finishes Nov 27 but then the buildings will have to be removed.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay! The palms are good for shadow and keeping the salty breeze away. Bathrooms are clean, decent wifi. If you need electricity its 5usd the day.

Report Check-In

Endroit tres agreable.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

We popped our tent. Was a good vibe. Lots of surfers here from various countries. We ate food with them and liked it.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place. A local family manage it. We parked the car under palms. At night a nice breeze make it fresh. Mornings are beautiful with no people and low tide. Really safe. Maybe you could feel that a common car won't go by the 10 meters of sand you have to cross...but we did it easily. Is prepared for every car. They sell food and have tables and seats. We reaĺly enjoyed being in this peaceful place. Not overcrowded as we saw in el cunco.
Anyway we went to el cunco for some tacos in a place called nueva sason as other ioverlander suggested. Amazing tacos (2,5 usd three tacos).

We paid 5 usd pp. Wifi is good to work. And showers have an excellent pressure.

Report Check-In

Best option for staying at the beach around El Cuco. We prefered staying here than in one of the many places in El Cuco, you are parked on the beach and have the beach and waves for yourself most of the time. Toilets with tp, clean. Outside shower only but convenient. Restaurant on site, simple but good food. We paid 15$ for family of 5 and RV + 5$ for electricity. Everyday there is a truck coming to sell fruits and vegetables and a guy selling bread as well. When low tide, we could walk to El Cuco in approx 15 min. Decent wifi. We recommend !

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a few nights before crossing into Honduras. Good food, friendly owners, good wifi and right at the beach. Other places around weren't as nice.

Report Check-In

Right at the beach with shades of the palm trees to park under. For 5$ pp we found this a great spot. Only the shower outside worked when we were there. They sell coconuts for 1$ and it's possible to rent surfboards.

The restaurant in front of the campsite sells cheap but good food.

Report Check-In

Still $5pppn to camp, clean toilets with tp, cold outdoor shower with good pressure, only downside is it’s right next to the rooms they have to rent. Didn’t ask how much rooms were but probably pretty reasonable as they were fairly simple.
Coconuts $1, Pilsner $1.50 and they have some simple food options also, a little pricey though. Such a nice beach. The sand section to drive over was small and hard packed/dry the whole time we were there

Report Check-In

Beautifull spot, very quiet during weekdays in lowseason.
With lowtide you can walk to el Cuco.

We camped with our tents and bikes and used an electricity socket underneed the patio outside the rooms they have. $5 p.p.p.n.
The family knows people who can give surfing lessons.

Report Check-In

Loved this place! Still $5 pp awesome beach. Shame we went there in low season but we managed to get some small fun waves!

Report Check-In

We stayed 2 nights at rancho Alicia and it was great.

Dany and his family running the place is lovely and will help you with everything you will need. They run a little shop and can prepare some food for you too.
We paid 5$ pp/night to camp in our va
Coco is 1$ a piece
Surfboard renting : 5$

Large sandy space to park and camp, under the tree. Shadowy even during the day.
Cold shower outside and simple but clean restroom.

There are two palapas with tables and hammocks to chill. Wifi is pretty fast.

The beach is mainly empty and it is has great waves for surfing.

Will definitely stay there again!

Report Check-In

A really lovely place right by the beautiful Las Flores beach. It was quite busy when I arrived on Sunday afternoon, but everyone left by 7pm. A very friendly family runs the place. At night they welcomed me like one of their own in discussions and children’s games. The father is called Denis Alemán. At first the price was $7pp, but he soon lowered it to $5. They have kitchen and serve meals and cold drinks. Definitely recommended.

Report Check-In

We loved this place! The owner and his family is really nice and the beach is beautiful. Good waves for surfing. It was not easy but we could fit in with our big rig. $7/person a night without electricity, $3 for water. Clean toilet, outside cold shower.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Great spot on the beach in front of the Las Flores break, we left because the roosters crowed from 1am all through the night and kept us up. Might have just been unlucky

Report Check-In

Stayed 2 nights here, still 5 USD pp. Great surf break and camping right on the beach. Rentals boards 15 USD a day good selection. Now how flush toilets which are clean and a semi enclosed shower. Spot right by the toilets is good for solar! rubbish WiFi though.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay in front of the surf break . This place is Run by the hole family and they are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They are pet friendly and they always keep the place and bathrooms clean. The ranch is not gated but there is a sense of security all around

Report Check-In

Awesome spot to surf las Flores. Jose and his family are super friend hand helpful. We paid 5USD per person per night. Outside shower and pit toilet was clean at all times. We just managed to fit between his palmtrees with our truck camper.

Report Check-In

nothing fancy but a cool place to stay right next to the beach. perfect spot for surfers. Familly who run the place are very nice. Beers for 1.25 $. clean toilets. Wifi is pretty good neyt to the house. We could make some skype calls.

Report Check-In

Beautiful location and could camp right by the beach under a palapa in tents and hammocks $5/pp. cars needed to be parked ~10 m back. Pit toilets and a really nice shower outside without a curtain or walls. We were cooking our own meals, having our own drinks and not eating in the restaurant as it was too expensive for our budget. Used our own battery as it was $10 for electricity for the night. Surf boards for rent. Dogs ok to come. Beautiful place but we didn't feel we were welcome so stayed only one night and moved on to places with happier vibes.

Report Check-In

We couldn't make it across the 20 m soft sand that exists in the dry season. We parked and stayed at mama cata for 20 usd a night in a two double bed in suite bathroom basic room. Stock up and try to cross the sand. Surf is most excellent on a bigger south swell, otherwise a fun spot without many folks surfing the mediocre intermediate waves.

Report Check-In

Sandy place covered by trees where you can park for a few days if you're into surfing and want to be close to the waves.
The location and setting is awesome, but the owners have not really been nice to us (for example, forbiding us from using hammocks).
The banos were a block of cement over a hole, so we had a reduction of 1$ a day. 4$ per person

Report Check-In

forgot to mention...we paid $5 per person per night
