Description

We were directed to this place by a local. The owners name is Roger and he let us camp for free right on the beach in front of his restaurant. The restaurant has great food, laid back vibes around here. A few people out surfing, though the waves were too big for us. Bathrooms in restaurant / he offered us the outdoor shower on property.

Amazing place! we loved it, just beside the beach, the restaurant allowed us to use the bedroom at night, a little noice because it was Friday night but it stop early. Restaurant really good, we payed 40usd for a dinner, not the cheapest but good 👍🏻

we stayed here one night. asked in the restaurant if it was okey to park on the parking lot. the place does not have a grassy ground anymore. and the parking lot was crowded in the morning. had a few problems getting out of it. restaurant was nice. for us it was only a stopover

Report Check-In

we sleep here for 2 night after we sleep in the street one week and the police tell us to moov so we stay there for free nice people around

Report Check-In

as many people before wrote everything was very uncomplicated. We had a nice dinner and were allowed to use the facilities.

We were there off-season and had the chance to park at the paved public car par right at the beach. There is a orivat car park infront of the restaurant which might be noisy in the night.

Our place by the sea was perfect and calm.
Twice a day this car park is used by many surfers cars and can be blocked. So better be early.
We were here during rainy season.

Safe parking lot in front of the sea. Asked the owner if we could stay the night and it was not a problem. Access to toilet all night. Had a nice dinner and breakfast there.

Report Check-In

Did not sleep here as it would have been closed to road. Milksmoothie was awsome

Great spot, the owners of the restaurant were super friendly. We were able to hang out in the restaurant most of the afternoon. We ordered food and drinks of course but we never felt rushed out at all. Nice spot near the beach, security and bathrooms all night. There were several other campers there as well but they accommodated all 4 of us nicely.

Very friendly people. Close to the beach. Campsite is free if you eat in the restaurant which is very good.

Very friendly staff and service.
No shower, though.

Rolled up on our motorcycle just after the restaurant closed and the owner came over and asked us if we wanted to tent camp in his yard! He already knew what was going on. He told us we could camp for free if we ate breakfast at his restaurant, which of course we did! The grassy area is excellent and about 30m from the ocean! He let us roll our motorcycle down to the grassy area too, to be safe next to us.

Food was slightly overpriced but excellent overall. This is Costa Rica.

THEY HAVE A PET POT-BELLIED PIG!!! AND ABOUT 10 DOGS!!!

Report Check-In

Really nice place to spend the night. Not really a campsite but a grassy field between the restaurant and the beach with amazing views of the beach! When you wake up there are animals (dogs, turtles and a pig) and a lot of surfers catching waves. You can stay there for free if you eat something at the restaurant, which is really good! Nice laid back vibe here and a good place to chill.

This is actually a public beach access parking lot and not the parking of the restaurant. We stayed here one night and had dinner at the restaurant and could use the restrooms. It’s a bit pricey but good, also good service and friendly welcoming people. We had a quiet night.

In front of the restaurant, right on the beach with an amazing view ! We bought some beers so we could used the bathroom and wifi. Roger is very nice, it was perfect for our first night.

Report Check-In

Excellent place to camp. Owner Roger is very nice, he let’s you camp in the backyard of the restaurant if you have some food there. The food is good so this is not a bad deal at all. Very safe as well as you’re metres away from his house. Nice ocean view as well.

Toilets are available in the restaurant, garden hose available as shower.

We stayed one night in this beautiful spot. Roger was SUPER nice. We used the bathroom and water hose he had outside for free, though we consumed quite a bit from the restaurant. Great wifi. Right in front of the beachbreak, great surfing spot.

Report Check-In

Stayed three mostly free nights. We got coffee every morning and a beer every night so that we felt ok using the bathrooms. We were camped with some other overlanders and felt safe, but also never left anything out if we were not around or at night. None of us ever saw any kind of shower. It's just a free public parking lot so no one can ever charge, but if you want the restaurants facilities it's good to buy something. WiFi does work in the parking lot a little bit.
