Located a few miles north of the east entrance to Valley of Fire State Park on 169, this huge mesa is known as "Snowbird Mesa" or "Poverty Flats" depending on your point of view. there are no signs limiting stays and there appear to be some long term residents. There are a few stone fire rings and plenty of stones to make more. There can be dozens to hundreds of rigs depending on the season. There are several roads in to the east side which goes back a good ways.(free)

a wide open area with huge canyons. park anywhere not close to an edge. they do fall. free and a 2wd friendly road.
Report Check-InSlept one night with my van, no worries, safe, plenty of other rvs next to me. Unobstructed view. Two 5G bars
Report Check-InTrès grand blm avec beaucoup d’espace pour plusieurs rig, à 10 minutes de la ville Overton et à 15 minutes de state Park Valley of fire.
Report Check-InChecking in from across the road, the west side of Rt 169. Lots of easy parking just off the road, or it looks like you can get more space and privacy if you're.drive off the road for a bit. We're planning a single night, so making very little effort overall. Very level and easy.
Good cell service on Visible (Verizon)
This is a huge area on both sides of the road lots of room for big rigs easy in and out. It was beautiful but after the sun went down it became very windy all night long. If you stay here just be prepared it could get windy at night.
Report Check-InOverton is not a friendly place when it comes to getting water. They’re no RV DUMPS in this town, no gas stations that have a hose out. I asked several folks about getting water including calling the local water company and the second they know you want water they stop talking to you( quickly) end the conversation. We bought gas and groceries in this town. I would say I’m not a freeloader, like I was called. Not a future destination. Ok for a night or three.
Report Check-Invery large wild camping area, suitable for all rigs. Wide open so you are a sitting duck when it's windy. Zero amenities but Overton is a few miles away for supplies, laundry, fuel etc. not 100% sure if there is a sani dump. There is a sani dump, garbage and potable water in Valley of Fire State Park, $10 with a pass, $15 without. Lots of travellers stop here on way to AZ and bypass Vegas. Pretty good internet signal
Report Check-InWe actually really enjoyed our evening at poverty flats. It was shockingly peacefully for what and where it is. There are cool things to explore if you walk the road down into the dry river bed. My only complaint? Poop. Poop everywhere. It's all dried out and doesn't smell, but geez. Between 4 and 5 bars on Google Fi
Report Check-InPoverty Flats is a great place to camp for the night after hiking Valley of Fire. Lots of people, close to the road, but surprisingly quiet. Not a place I'd spend more than one night. But perfect for that one night.
Report Check-InThe city park has a spigot at the blue drinking fountain next to the covered picnic area.
You will need a very long hose if filling an RV.
Good spot, not great. There’s no bathrooms (which by itself is fine) but it’s super open with a lot of people nearby to watch you and you’d need a shovel to dig a hole for your poo. Not recommended for longer than a quick nights stay unless you have an in-van toilet.
Report Check-InSo far my favorite spot! The views are great! Plenty of space here
Report Check-InCamping BLM, gratuit. Moins bien que le premier, moins de place et accès plus cahoteux.
Report Check-InNice quiet free place. A lot of space. Good ATT reception. No amenities.
Report Check-InLots of RVs and trailers but since it is a huge area, enough space to pull up away from others. Impressive view. Overton with library (good WiFi - open Monday through Saturday - very friendly staff) within a few minutes driving distance.
Report Check-Injust outside of Valley of Fire State Park
pretty busy but good for one night
