Description

quite an amazing spot for a bush camp on a hill not far off the B1 but hidden with beautiful views... turn into D1232, after 500 m a wide track goes uphill

Latest Check-Ins

The road is closed by branches and rocks. So we stayed just before on a flat area. But a few minutes later, the couple from the house just opposite the hill came to get us explaining that it was better to sleep in their yard, their location being more safe. So we went back down the hill, took the right and it is the first house on the left when we return to the road. They are very welcoming and told us to warn the next travelers that their little garden could receive them, probably in exchange for a little something.
They even have a pool!

Report Check-In

We drove some hundred meters further along the D1232 and took the track going left (North) after passing the fence. There are options to drive into the bushes to the left from this track again, where you end up staying North-East at the foot of the hill. Seemed more hidden and we spent a quiet night with beautiful sunset. The next morning at 7 AM however, a ranger from a farm next by checked on us, appearantly the place is private and there are poachers hunting wild here.

Report Check-In

Windy, quiet, nice views. Road noise is faint and good mtc connection

Report Check-In

4x4 necessary. Great spot with lovely view at sunrise!
The road is steep and was covered with grass. I arrived at dark and had trouble finding the turn into it. Use google map satellite to find it easily.

Report Check-In

As described already. Access is via a relatively steep hill road. Also big rig friendly as long as you have 4x4. Road was a bit washed out out by recent rains. Otherwise great spot. The B1 was not very loud. Great spot relatively close to Windhoek

Report Check-In

Still accessible: space for max 3 cars, 4x4 necessary, nice view but a bit noisy because of the highway
At least a perfect solution to stay before you go to the airport next morning
