Description

This is one of the most beautiful hotels/places we have ever stayed in. If you stay one night, it is 450pesos (too expensive for us) but if you negotiate for a few nights it's easy to get the price down. There is a restaurant attached that has the best mole and good eggs for breakfast! Pluma is a coffee town, very good coffee at that! Head through the center across the main square (very small town) and keep heading down the road staying to the left until you come to a dirt path that has a sign for Finca Don Gabriel (this time on the right). The path is a bit steep but for us 2, up on our bike, fully loaded, we were fine. You won't want to leave!

They now charge 200pesos per person. It’s a beautiful place, but you just park on the hotel parking and for this it was too expensive for us.

Nice spot! Showed up with my dog right after he broke his nail and Gabriela helped grab some gauze to wrap it.

The property itself is beautiful. $150/night. Dog friendly. The restaurant seems to have good prices but I didn’t eat there.

Pool was not filled and only cold water in the showers. There’s only one other couple here so maybe that’s why… loads of people working but the bathrooms don’t have toilet paper and there is trash that smells like fish. But it’s hot enough that a cold shower is lovely.

One of the guys working blows leaves with a loud leaf blower before 6:30 right where you park. The first morning he was a meter away from my van when I opened the door. I thought maybe he just forgot I was inside. Sure enough, next day the exact same thing. Don’t expect to sleep in here 😂

Other than those minor things, really awesome spot in Pluma Hidalgo! Parking is very level too. Everyone super friendly. Nice spot to stay for a couple of nights while visiting coffee farms.

Truly an awesome spot! Incredible views in different directions from all over the property. I stayed two nights in my camper for 300$ pesos total. Had use of the pool, showers, flush toilets, hammocks, lounge areas and trails. The restaurant is great and with good prices. There’s even a little coffee museum. Perfect place to rest and recharge from the road)

Very beautiful location on top of the mountains overlooking the mountain range down to the Pacific. A bit pricey. But the rooms are really nice. The rooms with a king size bed are 850 pesos a night and the smaller bed room ones are 650 pesos. They didn't seem to want to negotiate prices for longer stays. They do not volunteer information, like WiFi pass code and they put it in for you. WiFi is extremely slow. You have to ask for more toilet paper. Breakfast is not included, despite trip advisor. Hot water does get hot, but wait for it. The road coming up is a 1 lane very narrow path, making it somewhat dangerous when meeting another vehicle along the way. Just be careful.
