Something not right?

Description

We, 2 cyclists, stayed here for a night in a simple matrimonial for 45 BOB/p. The managing woman is very friendly! We even got the leftover pancakes to take with us in the morning.

This is Hotel Ladrillo in google maps. rooms are clean, big and comfortable. toilets are clean. no shower. I payed 45bobs just for the bed (no meals). Here you are like a ghost and invisible, the tours have the main attention. but it is ok. good to rest.

in the Ecolodge close to here there is wifi, for 10bobs you can get the password. works good.

Still 45 for a bed. Hostel fairly clean including bathrooms but as others have said, overlanders are treated like second class citizens (i.e. don’t get all the food tour groups get, the food is just basic pasta compared to the tour groups). This was the only place with room however (as tour groups had booked out all other hostels) - so probably best bet

Not sure the hostal is this one as there is no name.
We paid 50pp for a private room and shared bathroom. The place was clean.
We had dinner for 35pp (vegetable soup and pasta) and breakfast for 15pp (yogurt, cereals, coffee, pancakes)
You can probably pay a but less but we didn't negotiate as it sounded cheap anyway (especially after Chile)

just an update on my morning experience: one or two more tours groups came in and almost all focus went to them and the other groups. i got my tea early, but my hot water was quickly taken away for a group to use and I had to wait about an hour before it was my turn to eat, all while the other groups got it handed to them. I think you'd have to be a bit more up front to get your share in time, and maybe scavenge from the groups when they're done.

i found this place very nice. the person recieving me was a bit stone faced and did not try to adapt his Spanish to my level, but it didn't feel like a big deal. 45 for bed, 20 for dinner (really good vegetable soup plus meat and vegetable pasta) and 10 for breakfast.

We stayed here for 2 days due to a minor injury. Would not recommend this place, neither disrecommend. The rooms are quite okay, but dont expect the owners to do anything for you. They revolve around the jeep tours and took care of everhthing perfectly for them. Our requests, such as having dinner or breakfast (paid) were on the other hand always received as a problem because we were not part of the tours, but in the end they were able to provide the food. The food quality was good.

If you stay here, go play with Martinez, the 3 year old son. He is awesome :)

Not sure if it is this hostal, but it is a building next to Lama Jara. Looks like it is still in construction but inside it is ok. We paid 50b/pp in double room with shared bathroom. Other possibility is 45b/pp in room for 6p and shared bathroom or 100b/pp in double room with private bathroom. But bathroom means only toilet. No showers in the place. Breakfast for 15b/pp(eggs and bread with jam), dinner 20b/pp(soup and pasta). Clean, electricity between 19-22h.

We, 2 cyclists, stayed here for a night in a simple matrimonial for 30 BOB/p. The managing woman is very friendly and we could eat dinner and breakfast from a jeep group for free! We even got the left over pancakes to take with us.
