Free NF Campground - Spring Creek Campground | Established Campground

Very nice campground with about 4 spots and 1 pit toilet, clean and stocked with TP. It has trees so solar and starlink were not easy here. However, at the beginning of the campground loop there is a small double track road to the left, which is in good shape, but may require some clearance at the beginning to go over a decent size bump. About 40 yards ahead the road splits to go straight or to the right, and not even 20 yards when taking that right, there is an area with no tree coverage. This is not a designated campsite, but has signs of being used here and there. This area gets excellent solar exposure and North views for Starlink, and you can just walk to the pit toilet in under a minute. No cell service here. Excellent Starlink connection.

This had been one of our favorite free campgrounds. It appears however that it will soon be turning to a pay to camp campground as they were installing a fee collection box while we were there. the charging of fees will probably start next year in 2024.

It is Exit 2.4.8. Not 284. Off I-84. The rest of the other description is spot on. Just after you exit there is a slight bend that leads to a fork in the road. Take the gravel road. Just over 1 mile down it on the right will be the campsite.
I was here in Oct of last year and the creek was flowing nicely. It appears dried up or rerouted at this time.
There are a couple ATV/hiking/horse trails in the camp site. One takes you along the creek, the other through the meadow a ways.
Gets pretty chilly at night. Maybe high 40’s. Once the sun rises it starts to warm up pretty quickly.

Nice little Forest Service campground. Gotta love the price - $0. Quiet with about 4-5 spots decently spaced. Easy drive in on a gravel road. Stayed one night.

Beautiful. Nicely spaced wooded sites. The T-Mobile and AT&T had barely any service which would go in and out.

Nice little spot! Got a 31’ class a in here. Road in is pretty well maintained overall. Couple OHVs drove past during the day and some day use people in and out (Saturday) but didn’t really note any highway noise. Across the dirt road there’s a little path down to the creek which was cute and clean. Perfect stopover for the night, would have stayed longer!

5 spots available with picnic table and fire ring. We got there around 7:30 at night and got one of the two spots left out of the five. Very little highway noise only big truck really. Great spot to stop for the night when traveling on I-84

Roughly 5 sites in an established, FREE, National Forest campground. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. 1x pit toilet for the campground. It’s not the cleanest, but it’s usable. One bar of AT&T LTE cell service. There are a variety of vans, car campers, and RVs here. I’m unsure of the exact length, but seems like at least a 30’ rig could fit. My short skoolie fit just fine.

My site isn’t 100% level but it’s clean and decent for a night. Some slight highway noise but quiet neighbors.

When coming from I-84, take exit 284 and follow NF road 21. A few minutes after it turns to dirt, you’ll see a wooden info board on your left and a right hand turn onto another dirt road. The campground is down this road. The CG is on Google Maps but the secondary dirt road isn’t.

The secondary dirt road has a few large potholes that are currently filled with water after a very rainy week, but they’re definitely navigable. Just take it slow.
