remote parking area for Mt Bike trails . ok to park van or Rv . 3.9 km on dirt road from interstate 10 . Very quiet and low key.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed here one night. The sign says trails are open dawn to dusk. No other signs posted. Several cars went by, no issues. My mountain biking app says no camping here. I checked the county website and they did not mention overnight parking. Maybe that's implied? Pretty quiet spot. Decent T mobile.
Report Check-InAs described stayed 2 nights because it snowed and we were not feeling driving in it.
Report Check-InSquare gravel lot. Surprisingly noisy considering how far up a dirt washboard road it is. Trains, trucks and local traffic. Nobody bothered us though. Saw some coyotes.
Report Check-InJust a small parking lot with a nice new. It can get crowded quickly, especially if you have a long RV. T-Mobile cell coverage is weak but present.
Report Check-InAs described, I’ve been living on the road for 4 months now (this is my first time in Arizona) and this has been my favorite camping spot that I found!
The dirt road that leads to it has bulldozer tracks that made the road feel like it was vibrating on the way in but other than that smooth path and big lot.
I was the only vehicle parked overnight on a Wednesday night (and slept on a level spot in my sprinter 3500)
The mountain trails were amazing I took the lozen mountain bike trail competition course loop in the morning and had a stupendous time (6miles). There were about 5 other bikers on the trail (but no other cars in the lot)
Highly recommend this spot.
P.s. to nature lovers - lots of bees and yellow paper wasps during the day
Beautiful cacti, saw a couple small scorpions on the bike trail (not by the parking lot), didn’t see any rattle snakes.
Nice and very quiet place to stay right by the MTB trails! We stayed there on a Friday Night and there were only 3 RV and a car for the nights! Cyclists arrived in the morning!
Report Check-InNo amenities but super quiet, very peaceful and good ok cell service
Report Check-Insays open dawn to dusk... but stayed and were not bothered. not a bad spot. some train noise. ok cell service (verizon)
Report Check-InThere is a sign that says park closed from dusk to dawn. Another sign on the information board said no loitering in the parking lot. We chose to move on.
Report Check-InDirt lot off a bumpy dirt road. I saw an electrical outlet on a post but didn't have a means of testing it to see if it worked. This is not far from civilization so there are barking dogs and passing trains and cars. It's also the main parking lot for some sort of competition so when that event is happening it's probably not good for camping, but that's just a guess. All in all I had a nice overnight. Heard some people talking occasionally, but it was mostly fairly quiet.
Report Check-InAbout a mile drive down a dirt road. About 2 miles from I-10.
Clean and very quiet with several trails for a morning walk.
3 bars with T-mobile.
