Rustic site, pit toilets, no electricity but clean and quiet. Good cell service if you’re on Verizon
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Nice state park on the water. Some lots will hold rigs over 40’.
Report Check-Insecluded and awesome. Campgrounds are closed till April 1. I always scout places for winter camping. This is one but at your own risk. If you do, I always send payment, call it a donation. Pack out what you pack in.
Report Check-InMidweek in mid May it was super chill- maybe a dozen campers all spread out. Lake was great for swimming & paddleboarding at. Mountain bike trail is great, not super technical but pretty flowy
Make sure to say you are at “deep lake campground” when calling to pay over the yellow phone otherwise they assume you’re at gun lake
Site 66 was nicely separated from others and on a lil hill overlooking the woods.
Site 72 has an epic lake view and some privacy (atleast to one side) but was taken every night.
There are many dirt roads in the park with small parking areas that connect to the mountain bike trail- if the campground is full/ you don’t want to pay it might be worth investigating.
Included a photo of a map of campground sites
