Large campsite right off the main dirt road. Close to highway. Full cell reception. Lots of room for tents or RVs/Trailers. Small boat launch and access to the lake. A few stone fire pits. Although high voltage powerlines are nearby, the nnEMF readings are reasonably low and significantly lower than most people's bedrooms. Maximum RF measured 7.40 microWatts/Sq Meter (using Safe and Sound Pro II Broadband RF Meter). Maximum AC Magnetic Frequency measured 16 nT. Maximum AC Electrical Frequency measured 2 V/m (using GIGAHERTZ SOLUTIONS ME3830B meter).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stopped by, couldn’t get in with car and roof top tent, 6 big trailers mostly crown squats on one side, 5 more on other side only one in use! Seem to be construction related vehicles left on site? Perhaps cheaper than motels for highway construction in area mid week. I went by on a Saturday of long weekend and was unable to use it?!
Joli lac. Tranquille. Sprinter 23 pieds.
Report Check-InArrived a few days ago stayed a week. We were approached by I believe some locals who informed us the permanent camper that was here was finally reported and towed out, however leaving quite the mess. We cleaned up all the plastic and burned all the wood hopefully allowing the next visitors a nice clean start to their stay.
We had full phone signal and there is slight noise from the hwy on the other side of the lake. There is some construction going on in the area and the crew does use the empty spot to park in, they were very friendly and respectful of us camping here.
Report Check-InWe pulled in to encounter two sets of campers that were decidedly unfriendly. It looks like they're set up for an extended stay, too.
We moved further down the road, 1.9km, to a turnaround. We're just looking for a place to stay for the night.
Large site, stayed with 43’ with toad and room for more. Permanent trailer on upper section taking spot with lake view. Nice small lake for paddling with easy access at boat launch. Mosquito and black fly but it’s June in North Ontario! Easy access for swimming but deep for small children. Grocery, ice, pharmacy and gas near by.
Report Check-Ingreat spot. camper was already at best lake view site... but no one there.
Report Check-InGreat camping location with flat ground for sleeping in tents. Beautiful view and lake access. Although high voltage powerlines are nearby the nnEMF readings are reasonably low and significantly lower than most people's bedrooms. Maximum RF measured 7.40 microWatts/Sq Meter (using Safe and Sound Pro II Broadband RF Meter). Maximum AC Magnetic Frequency measured 16 nT. Maximum AC Electrical Frequency measured 2 V/m (using GIGAHERTZ SOLUTIONS ME3830B meter). All measurements taken with cell phones off by the firepit without a view of the lake.
Report Check-InEndroit parfait pour dormir. Très tranquille. Il y a un petit chemin de gravier à faire d’environs 2-3 minutes pour s’y rendre. Nous avons dormi avec notre VR.
Report Check-In⚠️ WARNING THERE ARE NAILS ALL OVER THE RIGHT SIDE CAMP SITE! I will post pictures if possible.
The Semi Permanent owner showed up while we were here. Boy he was mad. I guess he got told to move it. He was parked here since the spring thaw, apparently. We talked to a few people about it.
Stopped in for one night on this crown land. 2 sights available, big rig on the water front so we stayed in the other spot. Quick walk down to the water to swim still. Pretty clean when we got there, picked up some beer caps and dog food that was left
Report Check-InWhat a gem!! Nicely tucked away despite the din of hwy traffic in the distance. Not a deterrent to sleep at all!!
Report Check-InThis place was nice. Very easy to access with our truck and a 28' fifth wheel. there was a large RV parked on a spot with a nice view which is where we would've parked had it not been there. No one was coming in or out and I began to wonder if a retired camper had found his final resting place.
Report Check-InWow what a beautiful spot on the lake, tons of room for lots of campers a real gem. Showed up on my motorbike with a tent and a few RVs and other campers were here already but no problem lots of room and nobody bothering anyone.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Lots of room for several rigs.
Semipermanent rig still there. But nobody showed up. Highway can be heard in the distance but not loud.
Far enough off the highway to eliminate the noise.
Large grassy area with multiple rock fire rings. The area is large enough for big class A units, even towing.
We arrived and there was already a unit here that appears to be semi-permanent.
The area is fairly clean, we only picked up a bit of garbage.
Good cell service and sheltered from the wind.
Report Check-InExcellent place. Enough said easy drive in. Fire pit wide turnaround and perfect view. One spot with no view of the lake.
Report Check-InExcellent site, good flat grassy sites plenty of space for multiple travellers. Close to the highway but highway 11 is not busy in this area at night.
Report Check-Ingood wild camp. road can be pretty loud. at least two camps available, one right by the lake.
Report Check-InDid not end up staying here overnight but checked it out anyways. Very easy to find, nice lake and seems like it would be quiet. First turn on left on Wilson Lake Road. Not a problem for small cars to access.
Report Check-InLarge campsite right off the main dirt road. Close to highway. Full cell reception. Lots of room for tents or RVs/Trailers. Small boat launch and access to the lake. A few stone fire pits.
