Description

Had to stop here as it got late on our way to Medellín. Really nice hotel with a restaurant that serves fresh fish. 30.000 Cop for two people. Very clean, good WiFi, gated parking, nice owners. Fan only which is really sufficient as it is quite high up the mountains.

We had to reroute to I-62 when I-60 closed for a cycling event. Stopped at Hotel La Batea to break up the drive and had a good experience. We parked across the street from the main property. Paid 40,000 COP for two adults and a child, and that gave us access to our own hotel room for the night. We didn’t sleep in the room, but it was great to have a private bathroom and shower, and use the small sink for dishes. We ate a good dinner at the hotel: tilapia, pechuga a la plancha, a good salad, French fries. Everyone was friendly. There was a lot of road noise overnight because the hotel is by a curve and the big trucks would brake for the curve. But we recommend this place for a stopover, and the remainder of the drive to Medellin is absolutely gorgeous.

Spot très agréable pour la nuit. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et très aimables. Repas pour 18000 pesos par personne et nous avons laissé un petit quelque chose pour le service. Toilettes et douches.

Super reliable, solid spot. Any size rigs will fit. We actually pulled up around noon and stayed all day and night using their (fast for Colombia) wifi. They fed us lunch and dinner and we were able to plug into their electricity and use their showers. No other guests came and they closed the gate around nightfall. We were charged 18,000 per meal but not charged to stay.

Best place we found on the road to Medellin for an overnight stop. Very friendly owner let us stay in the (empty) big dorm room for 50.000 COP even though we are just 2.

Secure parking without height restrictions. Hotel felt very safe and clean. During our weekday stay it was populated with engineers working in the area. A drilling company that operates in the area has their office in this hotel as well which added to the calm and professional vibe. Highly recommended.

Fishery in the back.
