Description

To extend TIP, bring your own vehicle, current TIP with proof of payment, and passport with stamp for extended visa. Go to teller 0 or 1. They need to see your vehicle and will verify the number plate, so park close to the office.

They accept international visa and mastercard cards, and ecocash. Same USD price as paid upon arrival at the border.

A bit slow to process and pay for everything, and it seems common for others to push in.

If on the last day of your TIP, your vehicle is being repaired and you'd like to stay for longer until repaired then the vehicle is placed an embargo. ZIMRA require a letter from the garage on headed paper explaining what work is being carried out. During the embargo, ZIMRA will visit the garage to see your vehicle; however this depends on how bust ZIMRA are (they said that). Once the vehicle is repaired, you must return to this ZIMRA office, purchase a new TIP, and then the vehicle can be collected from the garage and ridden on the road again.
