Go behind the Canadian Tire and past Anytime Fitness and there's a spot by the trees away from the light next to a wooden fence. used this spot for overnights a week straight and have had no issues at all, no thru traffic, no 'tap tap' on the windows, just a good spot to rest. Wifi (Shaw) open, comes and goes.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I didn’t go all the way past Anytime Fitness as their parking lot was packed. I just parked behind Canadian Tire in the corner by the exit. It was about 8pm. A little traffic but still worked just fine.
Report Check-InI stayed overnight here on August 24, 2022. It was great. Pretty quiet. No homeless people running around. No body bothered me. I'm a member of Anytime Fitness, so I got to use the gym that morning. It's just a stone's throw away from where you park for the night. I was parked in my truck and camper. But there was also a cube van, class C RV, hightop sprinter van and an SUV parked overnight here while I was there. Lots of room. The parking area isn't quite level. But it's not that bad and it didn't disturb my sleep. A plank or two under the tire would level things up well. Enjoy your stay!!
Report Check-Inas described! lovely quiet night's sleep with no trouble from anyone. theres even some picnic benches around 👍
Report Check-InStayed for one night and as members of Anytime went to the gym for a workout, shower and wifi the next morning. Relatively quiet (other than some traffic), and lots of street lights so you feel safe. No ‘no parking signs’ and wasn’t bothered all night.
Report Check-InGood location for overnight stay. Not the cleanest one but no signs and no through traffic.
Report Check-InParking lot behind Canadian store and Anytime Fitness. There’re picnic tables and a little grassy area for your pets.
Report Check-InWe had a super quiet night here, there were a couple of other campers. Perfect for a night or two!
Report Check-InI work in parksville and live in my motorhome, this spot has been great so far. A police man showed up asking if I called the cops, (I didn’t) but I quickly asked if it was ok I was parked there and he said yes.
Report Check-InWe’ve stayed in this spot everytime we pass through Qualicum and Parksville over the last three months and have never had a problem! We are left alone everytime!
Report Check-Innice and quiet at night. I arrived late and left early in the morning. depends on the parking area you park it is difficult to find a flat spot. There were more campervans, some close to the wood wall and others just behind the building.
Report Check-InQuiet at night, not the easiest to find a level spot, but we managed to level out. Two other van dwellers with our truck camper.
Report Check-InThis isn't a bad place for the evening. Really quite, no one bothered me and was equally as quite in the morning, would stay again if I needed to. Open Shaw wifi comes and goes.
Report Check-Inliterally my go-to spot when I visit parksville, wasn't bothered last year AMD haven't been this year. you don't wake up to a pretty view but its very quiet and no RCMP officers tap-tap-tapping 🤠
