This large campsite is amazing! It’s near Hwy 97 so there is some Hwy noise but we were needing a spot quickly so after searching on google earth, we found this. High recommend. Fire pit, lots of room for multiple parties! Looks like a hunters group campsite. There’s even a hidden pit toilet! Great Verizon cell service.

really great parking space. were here in January. had a lot of snow but no problem with all-wheel drive.
Report Check-InFantastic place! Highway noise is minimal, and super private. It’s a huge gravel area, with two other smaller areas right off of it. I shared the area with another car camper and we were both able to do our own thing without feeling on top of each other. Follow a small trail in the back to the most cursed looking pit toilet ever. I don’t recommend using it.
Report Check-InGreat spot in a beautiful environment in the Umpqua National Forest. You can hear the highway traffic, but it’s not so bad. The road was fine for a small car with low clearance.
Report Check-InHmmm. I stayed here two nights and have mixed feelings.
Pros: Beautiful spot. Secluded. Didn't see another soul while here. Night sky is mind-blowing. Tall Pines are gorgeous. Adequate Verizon signal (2 to 3 bars). Did a zoom appointment and watched YouTube easily.
Cons: Road in is rutted and I feared bottoming out if I stuck to the ruts made by other vehicles. Narrow road in. Had I encountered someone coming the other way, one of us would have had to back up on a not-so-good road. Even though I drove a mile from 97, at night the traffic noise permeated the forest. Trucks braking, and a train? I think I heard a train. No whistle, just the chugging on the tracks. And bees. TONS of bees. So annoying I couldn't be outside. My dog snapped at one and it clearly stung him in the mouth. And of course dust. Couldn't walk without stirring up a choking cloud.
It is a little bit off the highway. Can hear a little traffic noise when outside. Nothing bad at all. A few fire rings. I was surprised how little trash there was. But picked up a few things I saw. Let’s keep it clean! It was just me here. But I like it that way. Stayed one night. All in all a great night sleep!
Report Check-InGreat place, but not easy to reach in winter time with all the snow.
Report Check-Inbig open area. easy access and big rig friendly. we are here with a 34 ft 5th wheel.
Report Check-InSpaces for a lot of cars. A smooth but bumpy road (if that makes sense) coming in. You’re not on it for long at all though. I was there on a Sunday night and no was there even in the other places along the road. This one and a couple others is further back from the road which I liked. Good Verizon signal. And close to salt creek falls
Report Check-InWide open space - plenty big for our large RV. We're the only ones here. Road coming in is a bit bumpy and quite dusty - may be too muddy for an RV to navigate in rainy conditions. But very peaceful, quiet and surrounded by trees.
Report Check-InFine place to park for the night that is secluded, but nothing particularly good about this. Can hear highway noise, a ton of bugs (July) and nothing special about the view. A couple of fire rings and good service on T-mobile
Report Check-InBeautiful and no one here on a Friday night! As described by others and just lovely site
Report Check-Inwhat a cool place! Just a short drive down a pretty decent Road and you get this great spot. I've even got T-Mobile LTE bars here. took me a little bit to get level but I plan on staying here for a while!
