After we were kicked out from the parking lot by the seafront, we moved to the parking lot near the marina. There are several options, it's worth driving towards Borgia Ristorante, after about 100 meters there is an entrance to a fenced and guarded parking lot, you must ask for permission to park overnight.
You must go to see the fishing pier, dozens of fishing boats return with the abundance of fish. You can also buy fresh fish in shops near the pier.
Okay place to stay. We parked near the Artico restaurant. The guard gave us a thumbs up and nod as we pulled into a parking space. Some noise in the night, mostly wind. Safe and fine for a night! The bathrooms are located down by the fish market at the Puerto de punta del este marker on google maps 👍🏼 HUGE sea lions

There were gate keepers and near police staion. little windy but very safety place.
There is a public toilet near harbor. It takes 3 minutes by walking. 24 hours available.
We could take a good rest.
