Description

Spot off a dirt road near Henry Lake. Road was a bit rough, might be tough in a regular car. Muddy in spots with today’s rain but still passable. Heavily treed area with several camp sites with stone fire rings.

Great level spot for a night or two. You could fit a few campers or vans here. Got here around 1:30 pm on a Saturday and there were plenty of spots to choose from along the way to this site. Some ATV/SxS and vehicle traffic but it was nice and quiet at night. There’s a trail that brings you down to the stream. We picked up some garbage, but someone put garbage such as contact lens packaging in the fire pit. Bugs weren’t bad until night time. Decent Verizon/Visible service.

The spots indicated over by the lane had way too many bugs flying around but over here was much better. You’ll see a dirt road off with lots of people parked. I was worried I wouldn’t get a spot but only one left way at the end where there is a turn around. Honestly, I think it was the best spot I saw since it was very private and away from others. Would’ve been enough room to park at least 4-5 cars/trailers in my spot. Strangely I had pretty decent wifi (data) connection. Loved this spot- would’ve stayed longer but I had reservations at Yellowstone! If there is heavy rain, I’d be concerned about my Promaster getting stuck in the mud.

Really nice spot. Flat, clean and quiet.
Little traffic sound can be heard from time to time but not a problem.

Open space with room to roam. Solar was great, with minimal road noise. Decent cell for simple web search and streaming. VZW & TM. Great home base for visiting West Yellowstone.
