Free camping at Kiwanis Rest Area, but please leave a donation to help with maintenance costs! Good for an overnight stay!

Report Check-In

Nice clean spot for a night or two and free. Clean bathrooms and two large garbage bins. There is a grocery store across the street. There is also a water faucet in the middle of the park as well as prairie dogs playing in the field. Road noise was minimal this time of year. Please keep it clean

Report Check-In

Still open and nearly full with campers at the end of October. Room for about 10 to 12 campers. Good for every type, including tents, most of the spots have nice picnic tables, and about half have shelters. No fire rings, but there is water (presumably in season, but it is a frost-free hydrant), nice clean bathrooms with hot water and flush toilets. It can get VERY VERY windy here, which is typical of this part of the state. There isn't much else around for free camping, without driving quite a ways off of the beaten path, which makes this extra nice. Very nice town within two minutes drive, with great older downtown section.

Report Check-In

Convenient location. Several spots Bathrooms and trash.

Report Check-In

Near the highway, so there's some traffic noise, and the place can get busy, but the facilities are nice. Picnic tables, clean bathrooms, nearby store. I had a good night's sleep.

By donation. Thanks Kiwanis!

Loud…busy…dogs barking…screaming kids… you get the point. Will definitely stealth camp next time I come through.
