Quite a cozy place to sleep right on the lake. Incredibly, no mosquitoes! Has toilets but no waste bins. Some firepits.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Particularly nice rec site, with lakeside spots that get the sun all day long and little docks and pontoons everywhere. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Report Check-InLovely. We drove in at night and weren’t quite prepared for the gravel, narrow road but it was worth the slow go to wake up in the morning among the trees. Lots of campers, kids etc.
Report Check-Invery nice campground. the road is gravel and narrow but doable with an RV ( we did it with a 28 feet.)
Report Check-InSeveral gravel campsites with a turn around at the end of the campground.Nice lakeside walking trails, some downed trees along the trail,we got 3 warning growls from a bear so we gladly went back to camp. Plenty of bear sign and sightings here. 2 long term campers by the dock, they seem a little territorial about their spots and the dock. Caught a nice rainbow off the dock for dinner tho.
Quiet at night even tho it was almost full, lots of wood to scavenge here. Some distant train sounds but wasn’t often.
Cheers
Great spots here, some separated from others, some close by. First come first serve. Pretty clean toilets, and definitely mosquitoes! Would definitely come back, but would try to get here earlier for a better spot.
Report Check-Infree camping with vault toilet. we were lucky enough to get a lakeside site. there are about 20 sites total. friendly locals camping here. relatively clean.
Report Check-InNice campground on a nice lake. Lots of people, RVs, trailers, tents, boats, ATVs and dirt bikes but everyone was respectful and kept the place clean and quiet. We found a spot at the end away from the lake and there were lots of mosquitos, but it was still pleasant.
Report Check-InWonderful place by the lake. A lot of sites, lakefront and forest. We liked it so much that we stayed for 2 nights. No mosquitoes at all, clean pit-toilets. Please keep it clean!
Report Check-InVery nice. Several sites by the water but since it is a very busy place, may not get one. the other sites are nice and spacious.
Report Check-InGreat lake with beautiful sites, firepits and picnictables. Super friendly and helpful weekend campers of Prince George. Perfect site, free and better than some campgrounds!
Report Check-InAs described. Many locals come by. We stayed here on a Friday and it was party time... loud music until early morning the next day. It's a nice spot but would advice against coming by on weekends.
Report Check-InNice place as described. Has been enlarged, has now around 20 spots. Many locals come here, especially over weekends. We arrived here on a Friday afternoon, all sites but two were taken.
Report Check-InFree Campground with big gravel sites, picnic tables and fire rings at Cobb Lake. Many campers (all sites were occupied) at our stay but quiet.
Report Check-InGreat free site on the way to the Casiar Highway and on to Alaska. A few other rigs here but we found at least two open spots. Decent toilet is a plus. Bring your bug spray.
Report Check-InWhat a fantastic place beautiful lake Only four other campsites full lots of space
Report Check-InA lot of spots available. Table, toilet, close to the lake and free. What else? Amazing spot
Report Check-InNice spot for camping. Rough road close to site but very doable. Very popular with locals for camping and fishing
Report Check-InBC Recreation Site and Campground, very nice, some picnic tables and fire rings, FREE!, this lake is also very good for canoe, we made a day excursion
