Lovely shaded car park under canopy just 10m from the sea. You don’t need to pay for the car park or to stay, but you do need to pay to access the beach as it is a national park. We paid USD$6 per person and the ranger let us in the following morning with the same ticket when we explained we were only there for 24hrs. Really worth the USD$6 entry - saw howler monkeys, and Ibis in the national park, and spent some time enjoying the lovely beaches and sea. Just be warned if you want to surf - there are some really friendly surf rentals just up the road from the car park, however when we tried to, there had been a sighting of a crocodile in the sea, so the rangers and lifeguards were quickly telling people to avoid the water for a couple of hours! All in all, a lovely safe place to stay. We made use of the showers and water points just inside the park gates multiple times throughout our stay. There aren’t public toilets at this entrance (that we could see) but a 5 minute walk to the east brings you to another park entrance with toilets.
Report Check-InChecked in here, the shaded parking lot to the left of the main entrance. Stayed peaceful for the night. Either I had to pay or stay here. Worked out great. Say another overlander who had stayed here for three nights. You can go to tge beach thru the gate or walk up and down on road in front of gate and look for breach in fence. You should be able to get free. Great place, secure and peaceful.
Report Check-InWe spent a weekend here, for free. The locals are very friendly! It's the second entrance of the N.P. We sold our handicrafts during the day, and at night is very calm. There is a water tap and an outside shower that we could use when the N.P. was closed. If you walk to the right you will see that there are no fence neither gate so you can enter to the beach and N.P. without paying. (be low key).

nice place, but no breeze and lots of mosquitoes, we went on Dominica Lito beach instead
Report Check-InRight outside the fence you can stay for free in a large parking lot, completely shaded. Free entry to the beach after negotiating a bit with the ranger (speaking Spanish helps a lot) Very friendly locals. Spent a very quiet night, only some howler monkeys in the morning. Very clean beach, showers and toilets (clean) at the main entrance further south, about 200 m.
Report Check-Infree day parking in front of fence of NP, you must buy the ticket to get in $6.75
No overnight camping allowed anymore.
NP ranger said during peak whale season ( October - November) you can see 2 to 3 whales from the beach daily.
Now roped off with a guard. Told us we needed to go buy tickets from the other side and not possible to camp at this location anymore. We didn’t ask about camping on the side of the road as it wasn’t what we wanted.
Report Check-InPerfect for overnight stay in a campervan!
A hostel nearby bring some (distant) presence with some surfers doing their things. This brings a feeling of safety. Real nice beach with indiscriptible sunset, water spot available for free here and there, Whale Tail reachable by beach walk. Except for the beach itself, woody shaded area is perfect for a break from the sun.
It s supposes to be 6$ ppn, but we never found someone or somewhere to pay. I guess its only checked for on weekend.
Report Check-InThis is inside the national park. If you come from this street there's no entry gate, but this does not mean you don't have to pay. The rangers told us politely to go to a different entrance and pay 6$ per person. Dogs officially not allowed, bit the rangers didn't mind ours. Shower and toilet available.
