Close to hwy 191. Conveniently close to airport. Protected with hills between camp and highway, otherwise exposed. slight traffic noise during the day. Good for tents and parking. Established fire rings. No shade.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Just stayed here for a quick overnight. Some road noise unless you go further in, but good service and no problems.
Report Check-InOpen spot with several parking areas so you can pick your level of privacy. Nice panoramic views. Great Verizon service, was able to hold zoom meetings all day. Very windy, lots of people driving through. Good spot.
Report Check-InGreat spot for camping. Perfect for big and small rigs. Fire rings at designated camping spots.
Report Check-Inoff of 191, about 30 miles north of downtown moab. i wouldn’t stay here if you’re planning on heading back into moab, as there’s slightly closer spots, but en route toward I-70, it’s a good stop over. very flat, some nice views. hard dirt, but you wouldn’t want to be here during/after rain without 4WD. plenty of places to spread out. full verizon and at&t service!
Report Check-InGreat place to stay for a day or two. Lots of open places, but sand is pretty soft (we ended up helping a van get out). Agree with other posters that a train does go by but it wasn't annoying to us. During the day you will also get a few trucks going by the road on the north side.
Report Check-InVery nice area. The lady at the Utah welcome station gave us a map and this place was on it. The soil is soft so I could see where rain could bean issue. We have a nice breeze now, I hope it stays nice😉
Report Check-InClose to Arches & Canyonlands. Easy access and not as crowded as some other areas nearby. Great TMobile & Verizon service.
Report Check-InEasily one of my favorite spots in the area. It’s not hard to get to and there is a lot of space with hardly any people. A train does pass by this area, but I found I wasn’t bothered by the sound. I had full bars for ATT. There are no toilets or anything here, so be prepared. It can also get windy.
Report Check-InEasy access, huge open area. Plenty of space for whatever rig you have. We camped about a mile off the hi-way. Could still hear it but not inside the camper
Report Check-InMostly empty today, a few rigs here and there. Can hear road noise, but just barely. Wide open camp anywhere
Report Check-InBare dirt desert with many rigs parked and no privacy. Expansive views at sunset but wind can be strong. (Be aware that arches now requires a permit to enter!!!)
Report Check-InAmazing spot!! Great visible (Verizon) and t mobile service. The road has a ditch but there was a class a rv in the distance too. Don’t attempt in rain
Report Check-InGood Service out here, little noise from trains and the highway but it’s tolerable, not too far from the Arches NP. No shade, was very windy because it’s very open
Report Check-InSpent the night and had great ATT service. Great for overnight but I would go closer to Moab for long term.
Report Check-InFlat blm area. Great verizon cel service. Can see 191 from here but very quiet.
Report Check-InEasy to find, no one around, full cell service, flat parking spot, could accommodate a full trailer, road noise minimal (far away), remote and private. Beautiful.
Report Check-InBLM wild camping. No services. Multiple camping spots for any size rig. Quiet, little or no traffic on gravel road. You can hear some Highway noise at night but not bad at all. Good
I would stay here again.
