Just next to Pinara's Ancient Theater, very quiet and uncommon neighborhood, try to find the truck on the image ;-)

Great spot, we had a lot of wind coming from the west , so was difficult to find a sheltered spot . Managed to find one in top left corner of open meadow with your back to the amphi theater .

It’s amazing that you can actually camp so close to such a historical side .

For a camper, there is a little plateau on the left of the path, just before the step down , which step is probably too much for a campervan.

Turkcell is a bit spotty

Real natural carpet just above the parking lot to visit the archaeological site. Better it doesn't exist.
Véritable moquette naturelle juste au dessus du Parking pour visiter le site archéologique. Mieux ça n'existe pas.

Beautiful area and amazing 2000 year old tombs and amphitheatre, but the guard was very insistent we left and told us you cannot spend the night here.

The road up to the parking lot is now completely paved. Parking paved as well. We went further to the spot and drove down to the theater. It is indeed a very special place, but we did not stay and returned to the parking. Although there were some tracks it did not feel right to drive over those stones that are part of the site. Felt a bit like trespassing. There is also a sign at the parking saying that the site is closed from 20:00 - 08:00.

traveling by bike is difficult the last 2kms. have to walk a bike. we had a picnic by the parking and waited till about 5pm before heading towards the theatre. the guard seems to leave around 7pm. clean bathrooms and tap water are a 10 min walk from the theatre

Very nice place stayed here for two nights at the parking place next to the entrance.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was very nice. Enough wood for a fire and no one around. We’ve just parked our car in front of the theater.

Be careful when you don’t have a 4x4 and it had rained. The track was a bit dirt and slippery but easy doable for a 4x4.

An amazing place to stay for a night, or 2. Next to the ancient amphitheatre, under a sky full of stars.

Nobody around, except for a shepherd in the morning. We stayed on the lower level field to the left of the theatre (when face the theatre). here you have a lot of shade from trees and plenty of level space.

more than the theater you will discover a huge rock where Lycian people have digged graves (around 12000!!!). Amazing place and do not miss the temple up the parking place. We did stay and sleep in the parking area. In front there are toilets that are open 24h. the guard wasn't really ok for us to stay but we didn't have any problem. very quiet at night. we were alone until next morning 9am. a really nice cat around the guard house...
