Stephan is the friendliest and most helpful mechanic. As we had sludge in our expansion tank (and overheated more than normally) we were really afraid and came to him for a professional opinion. He took his time for us, even his phone rang couple of times and it seemed he had a lot to do. He was fortunately able to tell us that it wasn't oil. He gave us helpful tips for our radiator conversion and also for other issues. He also gave us his number in case we got into trouble. A few weeks later we were in Swakopmund with a broken torsion bar and were completely lost, as it was impossible for us to get a spare part. Here too, Stephan pulled out all the stops and helped us looking for the spare part in Windhoek. Simply a great address, so helpful, calm and always ready to help and assist you. THANK YOU STEPHAN :)

I can only second previous entries. Had a problem with the front diff of my LC76. Stephan sorted it over night, organized the parts, dismantled and reassembled the diff, organized transfer for me and updated me on progress. Perfect service at a very reasonable price. Definitely the go to place for car rentals and any issue with your 4x4.

Stephan was so nice and fixed all our problems immediately. The first time we changed a broken leaf spring, Center bearing and U-joint, we got new shocks and new bushings.
The second time we needed new tires and he got us the cheapest ones we needed (to drive them in Germany too). We made an oil change, crank shaft seal and new air filter.
When we were in Swakopmund because we needed a new battery, all the shops said they don’t have any, but after a call with stephan he got us one in 10 minutes.
If you need a very good and competent mechanic you don’t have to look any further, just go to Stephan!

If you have a car problem go here, Stephan is brilliant, sorted out our problems then just as we were leaving Windhoek we went under a barrier to low and destroyed our solar panel, an hour later Stephan had fitted a mother one he happened to have in stock, can’t recommend him enough, super helpful and efficient. Even open when everyone else is on holiday.

Couldn’t recommend Stefan more highly! Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We unfortunately had some major issues with our pistons and cylinders, which were close to seizing. He worked with a professional engineering firm to bore out the cylinders and fit new pistons. He got us back on the road based on a timeline we agreed with him, so that there was as little disruption to our trip as possible. Definitely the guy to go to for any serious job.

I confirm all the other comments about Stefan, our experience with him was excellent!!
The service was fast, efficient and professional. I was very impressed with the way he handled and resolved a complex problem with a simple solution. He is trustworthy, and I felt confident in his ability to fix my car. Moreover, he ordered all the necessary parts right away with fair prices making the whole process even more convenient.

I highly recommend him for any auto repair needs, as everybody is saying- he is your man in Windhoek.

Don’t look further, this is the place to be for any issue you may have with your car!

All the reviews you’ve read before are true. Stefan will go out of his way to help you with any issue you have, with all the patience in the world, and charges hardly anything for it. As he says: “I always try to help everybody.”

He helped us with getting a new exhaust pipe, some general car maintenance and replaced oil + diesel filter. Thankyou Stefan and all the best to you and your team!

Stefan is your man in Windhoek! This guy knows all about overlanding vehicles, since he rents out his own cars as well. He helped us figuring out many problems we had with our car.

Even after having left and encountering problems again, we could always call/text Stefan for help.

Very good and reliable workshop! We made an appointment for a service for our Landrover Discovery and Stefan already ordered all the parts for us. He checked everything and we were able to see his work while we were waiting. He showed us what needed to be done and in 2,5 hours he was finished and we could hit the road again. He offered us that we could always contact him if we have a problem with the car, he now's a lot of other mechanics in Namibia. We can really recommend him, specially to overlanders!

Stefan did the service on our 2004 Mitsubishi L200/Colt: All filters changed, oil change. On top a leak in the cooling system needed to be fixed and we needed a new set of tyres (General Grabber AT3 which I can recommend). We made an appointment in advance and Stefan prepared all the parts needed in advance. He was there for us when we needed his support also on Sunday. Professional service and good price! The best thing: Stefan is just a good guy by heart. Would also rent a bakkie with rooftop tent at his place if I was on holiday.

What should I say on top of the comments of the others. Stefan is fantastic, super friendly and did the maintenance on our Landy very quickly. We ordered some parts upfront and everything was available as we arrived. We strongly recommend him.

Stefan has 20+ years of experience working as a mechanic and is keeping a fleet of 35 rental 4x4s up and running. So much for his trustworthyness. On top of that he's super friendly and always happy to help out travelers with his reasonably priced services. He took us in with less than a day's notice and got our cracked aluminium radiator mounts welded and reinforced for Namibian road conditions, did an oil change and swapped a broken exhaust mount within half a day. Could stay with him and lend a hand during the whole operation. Highly recommended!
