Nicest free campground we've stayed at. Outhouses were clean, with hand sanitizer provided. Many garbage bins available throughout the campground.
Nice free campground but be aware they’re closing gates at 10pm and we got locked out and had to “camp” in front of of the gate since we had no other option. We put our stuff in a spot left to the town for groceries and beer and once we got back at 10:30pm we were locked out. Just saying :)
Report Check-InNice campground in Lillooet. About a 3 minute drive to the lake. Short drive on gravel road off of highway 99. Super hot in the summer , it’s 39 degrees Celsius today. Very small sites, for tenting an small rigs only. The overflow can accommodate any size but there is no shade there at all. Cell service is super spotty, enough to be able to text and make a phone call.
Report Check-InFree campground, you just need to register at arrival. The sites have a table and fire pit. Children playing with their bikes. From our site we could see two bears on the mountain.
Report Check-InWhat an amazing place ! So cute, very well maintened, easy access with road with minimum bump or big gravel, with very clean pit toilet, garbages, potable water, encercled by beautiful mountains… FOR FREE! Just need to sign a registration but really simple.
Wow
Much better than BC provincial campground…
Great spot! A space for any size camper! Larger campers need to park in the open space in the middle of the camp ground. Several pit toilets, trash cans and water faucets. Cell is hit or miss. Free camping for 14 days.
Report Check-InWhat a gem. A free, beautiful, dry campground. Better than some places we paid way too much money for.
Report Check-InWonderful and free location across the road from the Seton Lake lookout. Sites are good size for tent, small RV or small travel trailer. There are warnings about tight turns for larger units bit it seemed ok (ours is 16'). Site numbers are on picnic tables and you register at info board but no fee. Table and fire ring at site. Pit toilets, water taps. Large gravel area that had some larger units and seems like overflow. First come, first served and 14d limit. Trails or follow side road to the lake. Told there is wifi by wardens office when we walked by.
Report Check-InNice campground, clean bathroom. Not many people when we arrived and we enjoyed a quiet and peaceful night there.
Report Check-Ingreat place to spend one or more nights. free camping place. with fire pit and picnic tables. great place !
Report Check-InThis Campeground is for free. There is a fire pit and a camping table. There are several spots for big RVs and all other camping vehicels. It is near a beautiful Lake with Toiletts and a beach. On the campeground there are also toiletts and water. Easy access for all vehicles and for every wether.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay for free. Big parking and small campsite with table and fire pit. Gate close at 10pm and open at 7am (I think). trail to walk. can stay up to 14 days. no electricity. dry toilet very clean
Report Check-InClosed for the season we moved on not sure why they dont just leave the parking open
Report Check-Ingreat campground for free! about 40 sites for tents and small cars under trees and a bigger field with mountain view for bigger Riggs. pit toilets, fireplace, picknick banks all around. really nice little walks around the area and to the lake. Salmon are in the creeks around, but most are dead by now. have to self register, but no fees
Report Check-InAmazing place!! Accommodating to my 25ft motorhome. Incredible views for free! Picnic benches and fire pits at every site although there was a fire ban while I was there. There is an overflow lot in the middle if needed. If you’re heading towards pemberton the seton lake/reservoir is a MUST. The water was so clean and perfect temp, amazing views, and grass to lay out on!
Report Check-Instill open and full. there are many campsites divided in two sections for tents and rvs, but tent people moving into rv section with plenty of tent sites available.
Report Check-InNestled in the mountains, super nice! Lots of other campers but still very quiet
Report Check-InGrand camping gratuit ! Eau et toilette disponible. Près d’un lac. Pas de réseau internet.
Report Check-InSweet free spot with on site water, garbage bin, and pit toilets. Pretty busy so best to get there on the earlier side.
Report Check-InAwesome free campsite, open for the season.
Sites are super clean, each with fire pit and picnic bench. Clean pit toilets throughout, water tap, lovely views of surrounding mountains. Site wardens are super friendly. We saw a bear a few times. 10/10.
Open again, free, super quiet, dry toilets, clean, picnuc tables, lots of shade
Report Check-InNice, quiet and lots of nice sites with an open area great for feeding panels w sunlight. 1 bar for cell.. just.
Report Check-InQuiet amazing free camp site :)
There’s everything you need : water, toilets and flat spaces ;)
We stayed here 5 weeks ago on our way north and decided to stay here again on our way home as this is a very pleasant spot to be. Back in site 14, for old times sake, and is nicely private. Recommended!
Report Check-InEnsure you check Naxwit Park across the highway bridge to see if Salmon spawning, today I saw them :)
Report Check-InBeautiful free camping. Unfortunately not enough cell service for remote work (even with a booster up). Easily accommodated our 42 ft fifth wheel in the large clearing. Had to leave after a night due to cell service.
Report Check-InCheck out BC Hydro website for other locations. All free.
Well maintained and clean in a beautiful location.
beautiful shaded sites. located 50 mi west of hwy 99.
(50.66687, -121.97699)
not much hwy 99 noise.
Free and quiet. Pit toilets. Not clear if the water provided is potable. No sign says it is. The spots are good for tents or small vans. Hard to maneuver around if you are towing. But, there is a large field with no shade that could accommodate larger rigs. Otherwise the spots are pretty shady and spacious. Fire pits but there is a fire ban at the moment. For free, it doesn’t get better.
Report Check-InI wanted to stay between here and Whistler but the billions of mosquitoes in the other campgrounds convinced me to keep driving. No mosquitoes, lots of space, clean and free, amazing! Many sites available today.
Report Check-InQuite a nice free campground with pit toilets, water pumps, and garbage disposal, run by BC Hydro. Some sites with shrubs/trees, others exposed. Telus signal is spotty but there...sort of.
Report Check-InVery nice place! Free, calm and quiet during night. Clean pit toilets. You can buy fire wood at warder for $5. Very recommended
Report Check-InGreat sites for tents and smaller rigs but have an open area for big rigs. It’s all free. Love it
Report Check-InAmazing free campground, private sites and still if you want to get in touch with someone, that’s easily possible too!
Couldn’t believe at first that it’s free but it is
Would recommend 10/10
Seton Dam Campground - BC Hydro - Free!!!
Excellent stop off 99! Super clean pit toilets, trash, picnic tables and fire pits. Lots of spots - area for vans and tents and area for bigger rigs! Rights off the river too! We had an excellent night!
What a nice place surrounded by mountains. A few nice trail around
Report Check-InAmazing free campground with clean toilet. We had a quiet night! Still open as of 16-09
Report Check-InClosed because of covid. Lake is open for day use from 1-7pm Tuesday to Sunday. Closed Monday.
Report Check-Instayed 1 night and as said - free. They say they close gates 10pm to 7am. Clean toilets and potable water. Stayed Friday arrived at 7pm. Plenty of flat spots with seperate tables and camp fires. Easily parked our 24foot RV. Worth the 5 minute drive from town for free.
Report Check-InVery beautiful place next to LILLOOET city and Peton Lake. Lot of space, lot of people too but nice, calm and quiet.
Next to a river. No services. Free !
Recommand
Beautiful place...:)...its free and has lots of places to stay...don’t come late as the spots filling up fast...i see outhouses and some water outlets...enjoy your stay
Report Check-InGreat place, even better than some paid ones! We stayed 5 nights :) Pretty much everything has been said.
Around 4pm it got really busy with people trying to find a place.
It says you can't "reserve" a stop, but if you want to leave, make sure you leave a tent, so people know it's taken. There's a swimming beach walking distance across the road. They sometimes rent canoes or kayak there as well.
Definitely recommend this place!
Perfect place for our 26' Class C.
Fire pit, water, toilett and dog allowed.
Amazing view on mountains all around.
A regular stop for us on the way home. its all been said but hike the campsite trails too on the upper bench for great views.
Report Check-InGreat campground and completely free. Put toilets are amazingly clean.
Report Check-InFree campground next to a river run by BC Hydro. There are smaller sites for tents and small vehicles as well as bigger sites for RVs. We arrived at 6 pm on a saturday so all the beautiful sites were already taken but we still found a place for our RV as there is kind of a big parking lot in the middle of the campground. There are pit toilets and you can also buy firewood.
Report Check-Inreally awesome free camp spot. plenty of spots, clean water, clean out houses. $5 firewood for purchase
the town of lillooet is only a 10 minute drive away, good for stocking up on supplies.
This was a great camping spot for free. We came with a medium size camper van and had no issue! Portable washrooms were clean and the views were stunning. Good clean drinking water as well. Highly recommend this spot because it’s free!
Report Check-InOpen for the season. Not busy end of May. One of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed, especially considering that it’s free!
Report Check-InReally nice and cozy place. Firepits, a lake, potable water and quiet.
Report Check-InNice open and free campsite. The gate is closed while off season, but if you have a tent you can enter. If you travel with a car, there is a parking lot in the entrance area! Nice lake nearby and a river in behind. Recommendable!
Report Check-InWe stayed here one night, the gate was closed when we arrived so we slept on the outside of the camping area. The gate was reopened the next morning.
Report Check-InQuiet, clean, pretty sites that are maintained - amazing since it’s a free campground. A nice place to relax.
Report Check-Inreally nice place to stay. Beautiful campground for free, clean with fire pits, Pit toilets, picnic tables and potable water. A guy sold us firewood for 5$.
Report Check-Ineverything has been said, great place & only a few miles from town for supplies. Thanks BC Hydro.
Report Check-InGreat place with lots opportunities under trees or on a flat wide open parking lot, tables, fire rings and portable, Thx BC Hydro
Report Check-Inone of the best spot we have ever been!!! and it is free!!!! We were there even on a BC long weekend in summer, so that means it was full, but there is a huge "parking lot" where you allways would find a place. We stayed 2 days, the fist one at the parking lot, and the day before we found a wonderful spot with a table and a firering.
Report Check-InNice spot. Pretty busy but still worth it. Small little river down there which is nice to cool down.
No cell reception with Rogers but 1 bar 4G with Telus.
pretty nice campground, quiet and free of charge. lots of sites. we really enjoyed our stay.
Report Check-InAwesome little spot. Large parking area for the big rigs and even though the sign says tight camp sites, my 10' truck camper had no problems getting in the typical camp sites. Our site was level, as was others, and I didn't need to level my camper. Water, picnic benches, and fire pits at all the camp sites. Pit toilets are clean and maintained. The other campers were quiet and respectful. I personally can't understand why you'd want to, but the maximum stay here is 14 days.
Report Check-InWow! This place has toilets, pic nic tables, fire pits and some spots with shade. Amazing and free 😊
Report Check-InSeizon Closure 1 oct - 1 may. Quite a few camp areas in the region seem to have the same closure period.
Report Check-InFree campground run by BC Hydro. Beautiful settingnext to river and close to water reservoir in a deep valley at 200masl, mild climate. Max. stay two weeks per year. Free.
Report Check-InGreat place, especially for being free. The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening. We parked in the large field where there was lots of space and fit our 25 ft 5th wheel. Large rigs can definitely fit here if other spots don't work out. The sun doesn't come over the surrounding mountains until close to noon.
Report Check-InFree of charge, well maintained, water and pit toilets. Busy on week ends. Very beautiful access to the Seton lake across the street! :)
