Nice place to stay and explore. I went hiking down through the canyon and found some really great views and a beautiful lookout of the virgin river. The road out is pretty bumpy and we had to take it slow but it is doable for 2wd.

Report Check-In

super place near from road but very quiet a little bit sandy when i was there with the wind i found a lot of nail on the parking be carefull

Report Check-In

Okay… sweet location. 360 views - sky and landscape around is just.. amazing. A lot of people around but it’s quiet and still worth it. Verizon and AT&T signal.

Road in is a bit rough and rutted. However, I have a low clearance 2WD and it was fine. Just go really slow and pick a good line as you get down the road.

Bastante accesible, nos tocó buen clima. había varios RV, íbamos en una camper van y accesamos sin problema es camino de terraceria. estuvimos 2 noches. muy tranquilo.

Report Check-In

After reading the review about BLM enforcing the campsites, we were very careful to try to camp inside the boundary markers and had no issue! We were the 4th camper in this "campsite." Little rough in the first section but got down fine with our trailer. We stayed in the busy area and didn't try to go farther in but the views were still great! Convenient enough for Zion and got some offroading in with the dirtbike.

Report Check-In

Tons of space to park and camp with an amazing view.
Ground is even, 2WD accessible and great AT&T & Verizon signal

Report Check-In

There were two open spots (four campers to a fire ring) here yesterday, and they were OK, but we moved on because of the wind. We wanted a more protected location for our high profile vehicle.

Report Check-In

easy gravel road off highway outside of Zion 2wd capable, plenty of places to park alongside other rvs with a pit toilet and open views.

Report Check-In

This location needs an update. I showed up here yesterday afternoon and found a nice spot to park my 26’ Class C. I had a nice quiet nights sleep and this morning went on a long bike ride on the rim of the Virgin River, absolutely beautiful. When I got back to my spot a BLM agent was waiting for me and told me that I was not camped in a designated spot. She informed me that there are only 4 designated spots at this location. Each of these 4 campsites can be occupied by no more than 4 rigs. Each of these 4 campsites have a metal fire ring. Those of us that were engaged by the BLM were able to relocate closer to a fire ring by asking permission from those that were parked close to the designated spots. That was this afternoon. Since then another six or so rigs have shown up and found themselves comfortable spots for the night, will they get payed a visit tomorrow by BLM, I don’t know. My intention is not to discourage you from camping here but to share my experience with the BLM agent this afternoon.
Verizon signal is 2-3 bars, adequate for streaming YouTube, emails, phone calls, texting.
The road down here has fairly major grooves, rocks, and is on the rough side. Take your time, go slow, and you can get here. I made it down here in my 26’ Class C with lousy clearance.

Report Check-In

Nice easy camp stop. Nothing special but a easy place to camp super close to town.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. Almost completely empty during the winter. Plenty of Verizon coverage for us to work out here

Report Check-In

Awesome place to stay 30 minutes outside zion! Lots of room for vehicles! Stayed here 3 nights and each night varied. Friday night there were lots of vans spread all around. The road coming in is very slick when wet so be careful and be smart, easy to get stuck! When dry it's a nice easy drive in with room for all size rigs! 3 bars LtE T-Mobile and flat enough that I didn't use leveling blocks.

Report Check-In

As described! Lots of campers here, even in the winter. Drove around for a few minutes and found a really quiet, flat spot away from everyone else. Wish there was a closer spot to Zion, but this worked!

Report Check-In

Such a great location. The road to get to the spot was really bumpy and shaky. Your Rv needs good suspension. We met others who were parked here. Lovely experience. Amazing view

Report Check-In

Good spot. Crowded but lots of space. I get Verizon service with 3 bars. Road is very bumpy/rutted out but go slow and ok if no rain.

Report Check-In

Lots of room. Dirt roads and fields have deep ruts and dips and could be a problem if it rains, though you don’t have to go in very far to find camping. Close to Zion. Quiet.

Report Check-In

Great place, parked my 2wd Sprinter. A few neighbors. Plenty of space.

Report Check-In

Fantastic spot for big rigs. Easy access relatively flat. Views gorgeous!

Report Check-In

Be careful where you set up. You need to be at a designated site. BLM told several dozen campers to move today.

Report Check-In

Right off the highway, easy to get too. 20 minutes away from Zion. Lots of space to park, RV / campervan / tow behind.

Report Check-In

Got lucky with a nice spot on the edge of the river, super quiet and great att service. Take the paved access leading straight to this spot rather than the laverkin lookout road which is rough. Lots of mice, keep the doors closed and food packed away.

Report Check-In

Plenty of primitive sites to choose from, just be careful of where you set up. Some areas are marked as designated campsites, some say no camping or private property. Beautiful views, fire pits. Full bars and LTE with AT&T.

Report Check-In

Dirt road off main route into Zion. Large expanse on right. Entrance just before war exhibit that just looks like an old wooden fence. No water or bathrooms.

Report Check-In

Great location - only 15 minutes from Zion. Beautiful setting, very quiet; super easy access off the main road (Rte 9). Google takes you to a rutted road which is not navigable for large rigs. When you turn off highway 9, just go straight on the road & you'll get to several sites accessible for a larger rig. We were the only large rig out here; there were some tent campers nearby as well.

Report Check-In

Great place to spend the night. Be aware of rocky road specially if your rig is not too high. We got a big dent on our van from a rock we went over by mistake. Beautiful sunset.

Report Check-In

As reported by others. Strong AT&T phone signal. Can be very windy since it’s just a big open area. Lots of other campers around. Surprisingly quiet for how close it is to the highway. A BLM ranger came by at about 6pm on my second night and apologetically asked me to move to another spot since I wasn’t in a “designated camping area”. Despite there being a rock fire ring and clear signs of camping use...oh well. Not too big of a deal.
Road in is hard packed when it’s dry, but very rutted with massive potholes. I weaved all over the road avoiding the biggest bumps.
Looks like there may be a paved/graded dirt road in, if you turn at the La Verkin Overlook sign rather than continuing down the highway as Google Maps tells you to. I didn’t drive it to confirm though.

Report Check-In

Good off the road spot! Little crowded but also got here a bit late. Service is great and plenty of parking!

Report Check-In

Amazing spot, large areas with fire rings. Very quiet. It was very windy when we were there. We were on a small pick-up but saw a few large RVs/trailers. 30min to Zion NP.

Report Check-In

Lots of flat spots some with fire rings. Great for overnight. strong T-Mobile signal

Report Check-In

Some spots marked as designated camping and some marked as no camping so be careful where you camp!

Report Check-In

Pretty sweet. First time really using the App in outside of just perusing places to go. Found us a good spot for the night.

Scenery is top notch and it’s really close to Zion as well as Hurricane so if you need to grab something there’s a WAL-Mart and the line right around the corner. Fire pit as well. Individual sights are pretty spread out so you feel like you have your privacy, however it is pretty close to the main highway.

Only big downfall is it’s proximity to the Highway and how open it is, and all the things that come with that. It is desert though so take that with a grain of salt.

Report Check-In

Not a great road for our RV but do-able, great views. A bit crowded

Report Check-In

C’est un endroit parfait pour un repos de route ... beau paysage et tranquillité, on entend un peu le trafic. Verizon est ok et nous sommes un peu plus loin que les autres soit (37.2078410, -113.2446090)

Report Check-In

great quiet place, lots of room for campers and RV's. about a dozen other campers here. some hiking to do. no services of course, but it's free.

Report Check-In

Amazing views of the surrounding canyons and mesas, this location is just off Hwy 9, 25 minutes to Zion and 5 minutes out of La Verkin. there is a Maverick station just in La Verkin with a free dump, too.

Report Check-In

Quiet and beautiful place to sleep!

Report Check-In

Sleeping place just off the main road on Ner old road. War according to circumstances but fairly quiet at night.
