Asked in the visitor center if RV's are allowed. As long as you don't use a generator it is ok.

Spots not so level

No cell phone reception

Very small campground with spots very close together, but it's free. The sign at the entrance very clearly says "tents only," please respect that!! Half of the people here right now are in vans or small RVs. There are plenty of camping options all over this park and outside of it, and it's much easier to find a dispersed site that's comfortable for a van than for a tent, so please leave this spot for tent campers! This spot is already small and crowded and feels much more so when it's filled with big vans.

Absolute wonderful spot in DV and FREE. 10 spots fill up fast. Starlink works great.

No cell, not even emergency is a bit creepy, but you feel like in a real Death Valley. Plenty of space and running water with toilets!!

amazing free campground in death valley. we got here about 6:30pm and were the first people. spots were completely full by 10pm so get here early. super windy when we went, so be prepared for that. ground is also fairly rocky so bring an extra few pads for sleeping. some people slept in their cars and nothing happened, tents only is probably to discourage RV's. overall a solid free spot to camp before seeing death valley.

Campground was open today. Has about ten spots with picnic tables. Sign at entrance says tent only but there was a couple of vans so I don't think they're too strict about this. I pulled in a little after dark and managed to get the last spot. A couple of vehicles pulled in after and had no luck but this was on a Saturday so makes sense. There's trash bins, a bathroom and water within walking distance.

Beautiful views, free, and at 2000 feet it is cooler than staying in the valley.

Right off the road and close together camping. It’s free and has a good bathroom and water.

“Sunset” is early because of the mountains but pretty. Looking forward to the sunrise!

Free campground close to the road. There is a day use area next to it with a toilet. When you drive in, it has a sign „tent only“. We slept in our van and it wasn’t a problem. You can see hundreds of stars at night and it’s quiet.
