Dirt road down to a fairly flat site with fire pit. Room for a couple vehicles. Trail down to the Smith River but unfortunately campsite is not on the water. Close to a day use river access with pit toilet.

Great spot. A bit muddy. Got down in a 4wd truck but might be difficult for a car without a lift. Water access although a bit steep to get down.
Report Check-InThe last person who camped here left the place great. With pile up of fired wood. So we did the the same thing. It was great place to relax. Went down to the
river and color of the water looks surreal.breathtaking. However, mosquitoes here are notoriously bad. We created 2 fire pit smoked it out. Works great. If you planning camping out here. Bring mosquitoes repellent. Leave the place better than you found. So we can have more of this place .
Very nice place, cars can't see you from the street, trucks may. Tons of mosquitos, so forget about fresh air at night if you don't have mosquito nets.
The road has some sharp stones but we made it with mid clearance and 4wd. It rained the whole night and morning and made it up the next day without problems.
Awesome spot! Great swimming hole down at the river. The mosquitoes were out tho so bring some bug spray.
Report Check-InWe stayed here for a week with no issues. Steep-ish trail down to river, but very nice. Walked to the day use pit toilet when we needed to. The hill down is rough, lots of roots, but still doable by pretty much any vehicle. Our biggest complaint was a local who seems to do target practice as his main form of entertainment. 9am on a Sunday, random weekday evenings, anytime is shooting time. But this spot is close to the beach, the redwoods, and crescent City. So I definitely would recommend.
Report Check-InWe arrived at about 5pm. Drive down isn't terrible but could be difficult if wet(We made it down in a 2wd van). The area was super trashed with beer cans. Other than being super dirty it was a nice area. We cleaned it up for the next folks! Good place for a night. No AT&T/TMOBILE service.
