A turnoff before/after an ascent and rock formations on the westside brings you on a sandy track. I think it is suitable for 2 wheel drive, but be cautious and check first!
You can stay behind the rock on the right site at an abondened bushcamp a few hundred metres after the turn with a fireplace. But you can also go a few kilometres further in the bush and you will find tons of spots to stay for a peaceful night!

The police woman of the checkpoint south was fine with us staying here. Pretty spot, climb at the rock formation and enjoy the plains! Cattle passing by. Some noise from the road.
Report Check-InA good camping spot. The police officer at the checkpoint further south said it was fine for us to stay here. It's not far from the road, but still secluded. We enjoyed climbing up the rock formation and having a look over the plains. We stayed here for one night and entered Etosha via the Galton Gate the next morning. Many cows and goats walked by during the day, but at night it was completely quiet.
Report Check-InBushcamp along C35 behind a hill. Good option for a bushcamp before or after Etosha Galton Gate entrance. Few noise from the road, but not visible, slow Edge MTC-Signal.
