Spacious sites at county park. Well maintained. Gates close at 1030 so no late arrivals. All sites have electricity and are non reserve-able. $20. Showers and flush toilet near camp area entrance (well within park), pit toilets otherwise. Running water on spigot near camp playground, good for washing but not great drinking water.
Park has swimming, playgrounds, and trails too. Good base camp for exploring Iowa City and Amana Colonies.

Just confirming what everyone else has said--a nice 8/10 place if you can get a shady private spot, maybe more of a 6/10 if you get a really wonky spot.
I'm here in mid October and it's about 35% full so lots to choose from and the leaves are turning. Pretty location and probably 10 mins to Iowa city of you need to go in for anything.
Happy I stopped.
Report Check-In$20 with electric.
Showers still closed for renovation.
Gorgeous park, about 10 miles off of Rt 80. Great place to walk around. Lake nearby for fishing, beach for swimming in the summer (closed now)
Wow... great county park... lots of green! room for all size rigs and many pull thru sites. bathrooms are closed this season due to renovation according to the sign. Still $20 a night for electric. Water available for tank fill and dump station.
Report Check-InBeautiful campground but totally packed except for undesirable spots in full son or very sloped. If you can get a nice spot it is wonderful, quiet with many birds and everything you need.
Report Check-InNice s shady spots with room in between. Only electric at site but water and dump available. 20+ tv stations. Traveling across country but will remember this park.
