The road goes on forever. There are so many potential campsites, even for TTS and for one A Class. The road is excellent though at least the 10th mile in. The number of pull-offs and deeper roads is innumerable. The forest is heAlthy and great.
BIG WARNING HERE: a close friend who is the only licensed mortician in the county, emplored me to stay away from the FS roads as both Port Angeles and Forks are heavily impacted by drugs. Apparently there are roving bands of junkies who predate upon the boondockers. If you are a solo woman, I beg you to stay away. And all others must be capable of handling these bandits. Only one car came by my 9-mile spot. He was speeding and looked very ratty. I’m not worried, HE should be. But unleashing you are capable, do not stay here.
Report Check-Inroad in felt pretty steep and a pretty rocky for our very low clearance 80s class b, a bit of a white knuckle drive up, but views were very worth it! not for anything bigger than a van
Report Check-InAwesome spot, really recommend it.
road there is not too bad, and a little bit windy on top, but the views you get here are insane
Report Check-InNeeded a spot to stay after a long day of hikes, this place was great! Beautiful views (even though it was foggy), a bit of a rocky uphill to get there but we did it in our shuttle bus. A few branches hit the sides but it wasn’t bad. Would definitely stay here again!
Report Check-InStayed 3 nights, there's a bit of road noise, but it quiets down at night. Good cell service for T-Mobile and Verizon. Good solar, when the clouds are gone, which wasn't that often during my stay.
Report Check-InThis spot is a gem! Beautiful views and we arrived at sunset. Peaceful, quiet night
Report Check-InSick spot with sick views, level enough and easy approach. some sick forestry people were doin some invasive species work in the morning but they were cool and didn’t care we were there.
Report Check-InSeems like off the beaten path but really isn’t. Tight brush alongside trail (don’t NEED 4wd) but epic view from end of road.
Report Check-InTurn onto FS Road 30 and on the right hand side you will see a turnout with some deforestation. Follow the trail to a cut out at the top. This is not for big rigs. The trail has not been trimmed back so you may get some scratches. T-Mobile LTE service is strong. There is a fire pit and no tree cover.
