There's free water next to the fire station (behind city hall). Look for the sign on the house that says "Potable Water" and a garden hose. Short vans can completely back up into the fill up spot
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Just stopped in the library parking lot for the night and the water at the Fire Department place is still working just fine. Thanks to the original poster for this tip!
Report Check-InLabeled clearly “Potable Water” with a large sign on side of building. The building looks more like a house, painted white with green trim. Park on the gravel to avoid blocking the fire station’s access to the road. Yes, there is a sign at the entrance that says “No Public Access” but I think that’s because this entrance used to lead to the skate park and library parking lot, and is now blocked by a barricade . Access to the water is well before the barricade.
Report Check-InBig sign says "no public access" to parking lot that needs to be accessed to get to the hydrant that says "potable water" on the back of city hall.
Report Check-InIts actually at the back of the city hall building, next to the fire station.
Report Check-InOn the back of the city building. Spoke with the fire department to make sure they'd be ok with my 37' Class A over here for a few minutes. They said no problem. great spot especially after all the other places we've checked stopped for winter.
