TALEK BUSH CAMP
The Talek Bush camp is perfectly situated less than 1 km from the Talek gate to the Maasai Mara and just a quick 5-minute drive from the Talek town. This tented camp exceeded all my expectations in every aspect.
The food at the lodge was excellent..
There were options of packed lunches and, or breakfast to enjoy whilst on Safari.
All the staff were incredibly welcoming, and for the Safari I had the pleasure of being guided by James, one of the camps guides. His expertise and knowledge of the Maasai Mara ecosystem and wildlife were exceptional. Thanks to James, I had the opportunity to witness incredible wildlife moments and learn so much about the animals and their behaviors.
Mustafaa, the owner, is not only a gracious host but also an exceptional photographer. His passion for capturing the beauty of the Maasai Mara is evident throughout the camp, adding a unique and artistic touch.
The camp’s location next to a river brought the magic of nature right to our doorstep. The sight of monkeys and hippos roaming the grounds was a constant source of fascination.
In conclusion, my stay at the Talek Bush camp was nothing short of spectacular. From the food to the staff, the guided safari, the owner's photography, and the incredible wildlife on the lodge grounds, every aspect of this experience was truly memorable. I can't wait to return to this remarkable lodge.

Seems like it hasn’t been visited much lately. Facilities are present but very run down. Water in the kitchen area and shower was not super clean. Staff was friendly and the Masai guard was very nice. The place was better than the other spots we visited around Talek gate. We would in general recommend stay at a different gate.

Nice place, friendly staff, close to the reserve gate, on the river.. camping site with hot water, Meru tents and bandas available. Provided dinner is hearty, veg and meat options.

We stayed at Talek bush camp for 1000 ksh pp (it’s high season, price is probably lower in low season). Nice campsite with very friendly Egyptian owners. Clean toilets, hot showers, good view over the river. We also checked other places along this road and felt most welcome here.
