came to the beach for a day and slept overnight. there was live music going on but ends at 10pm. pretty cool to enjoy the night. I slept after the event and nobody bothers you throughout the night.
Report Check-InClothing optional beach is cool. Don’t camp here. I’ve visited a bunch recently but never stayed. A couple of locals suggested I’m probably okay with out of state plates. Today I got a great spot so spent the evening watching stars, and fell asleep. Police issued tickets at 1am, and then told everyone to leave at 1:30am.
Report Check-InEvery January there's a golf tournament at the adjacent golf course. I'd be wary of parking overnight here around this time - cops patrol more often & parts of the lot will be closed during the day even. Much safer bet any other time!
Report Check-InLast night myself and others received a ticket ($58) I have slept here 4-5 other times without a problem. I think someone called because of the drug addicts/homeless people in the area. I don’t mind them but others clearly did.
I would say you only have a 20% chance of getting a ticket and if the cops do come they have their sirens on and via a loud speaker they ask everyone to leave although I was clearly asleep around 10pm and midnight when they came.
With that being said there are signs saying you can’t park here overnight but even with a ticket in my opinion it is clearly still worth it!
Great cliff front views of the ocean and fun to watch the parasailers as the winds pick up. The sign does say no overnight camping, but after talking to several people parked here it’s apparently not enforced. There were probably close to 15-20 other vehicles, at least, camped out. It’s busy during the day but very quiet at night. I will absolutely stay here again.
Report Check-InBig dirt parking lot with amazing views and trail down to black's beach. At Torrey Pines Gliderport. slept here for a week, not bothered at all. A few nights people were partying and playing music but that dosen't bother me. Quiet mornings. gets busy on weekends. Lots of other RV's and campervans
Report Check-InWe stayed for about 5 nights with no problem. It’s a great spot, beautiful cliff views of the ocean, fire pits and it is pretty quiet at night. Unfortunately last night at 11:30pm the police came in on loud speakers telling everyone to leave.
Report Check-InOh, it's closed alright. I hadn't stayed here in over a year; so, as we were in San Diego County, decided to stay there again. Then the cops rolled through promptly at 9:45pm blaring over loudspeakers to start moving folks along for fear of tickets and towing.
A lot of "regulars" basically live there during the day, though. I have the impression that at of folks stay the night there still, and that we just happened to pick the wrong night.
Report Check-InCops come now and kick everyone out nightly, good place to park during the day, but not overnight, last night tickets were handed out to vehicles left without even as much as a knock!
Report Check-InReally huge lot. A lot of ‘permanent’ big campers overthere. Felt really safe. At the entrance there’s a sign that overnight prking and sleeping in vehicle is forbidden but we stayed there 1 night without any problems. It seems they allow it (for now I guess). Would definitely stay there again.
Report Check-InLarge, quiet, next to cliffs with a Seaview great for all sizes incliding big rigs, 200m off track to the North of the gliding centre.
Toilets near the gliding centre and track down to nudist and clothed beaches. Beautiful sunsets, we camped here for 1 night (along with about 10 other RVs).
