We ask guard of las quebradas to sleep here and they say ok no problem. Flat place. Sleeping very well. Place for 2 big rigs. Also you can go near de cemetery. Safe

Nice long beach, some garbage but not enough to make us look for another place. Few locals and tourists enjoying the place. Had a visit from Mexican man in the morning claiming to own this place and asking how long we are planning to stay here. Since we were moving anyway we didn’t get into further conversation but he didn’t sound very welcoming.

Beautiful place on a big open field with grass and flowers. Hard underground which makes it easy to access with our 2wd drive sprinter. Take the old bridge which looks out of service (take care of the metal sticking out of the concrete). Than follow the river downstream. Here are many nice places with flat surfaces. We chose the end of the meadow where the river bends. Lots of wood for a fire. The noise of the river blocks out the noise of the few cars passing by.

One of the 4 vehicular campgrounds in the park (there's a separate hiker/biker one) - I believe this is the most primitive and secluded of them with no hook-ups. This one has a tight entrance through trees so I don't think they'll allow anything bigger than a van (a big one could still be iffy). Tent or vehicle camping available here. Pit toilets at sites, a bit better bathrooms by the boat launch or elsewhere in the park. Showers at the north and midway campground loops not too far. I paid $43 ($30 site, $5 non-resident, $8 reservation fee).

While it's pretty in the woods and lots of tight trees to even drive through, many of the parking areas are pretty close, sometimes even directly next to each other so keep that in mind if in a vehicle. The main sites have tables, fire pits and tent pads spread out a bit more around the loop but still not particularly private, feels more like a little community hidden in the trees. Obviously not a place for big rigs, but probably the better campground for anyone in a more normal vehicle wanting to stay out here in a more secluded but not totally private place.

Don't expect cell service at the campground - ATT and VZW are non-existent here and pretty spotty on the island in general, even with good signal I couldn't even connect calls most of the time. TMO works best overall, and I can pull in a just barely usable signal (no streaming) with a booster at the campground.

As of April 24th, it is open even though the sign says it’s closed until May 15th.
The sign that says “No overnight parking” is ignored and many trucks were there for the night.
There are few overhead lights, making it quite dark.

Wow!! What a cool spot. As described in the other posts it’s new and being worked on. Very cool spot. Juan is exceptionally friendly and offers to have food , beer, anything you need delivered right to your camper. Call ahead and he can arrange oysters delivered. Definitely recommend staying here! Big area for the dogs to run too!

So, I was living in my car before I met my bf and we stay at this hotel a lot now. But near by are tons of spots to rest and sleep at if you’re a van life. If you drive past the holiday in and keep going down that street there is an industrial parking lot that is empty you could give a try. Also, I slept at the wood springs hotel parking lot a few times and no one bothered me. There is also several places near by that could also work like two truck stops, crackers barrel, waffle house…etc.

Nice lodge. Self contained rooms start from 20,000 MK with breakfast. Cheaper options with shared toilet are 12K and 15K.
Clean room with attached bathroom. Western toilet with running water. Solar geysers, so hot water available only when it is sunny during the day. Big open place outside and big shared living room. Food in restaurant is reasonably priced. Can ask manager to help change USD to MK at black market rate. Fan / TV / mosquito net in the room. No WIFI though.

Water at pump 4. Regular city water the attendant said.

Good for a night. No problems. We picked up spotty wifi in the parking lot on the west side of the building. It works much better in the drivers' lounge.

Awesome cafe if you want specialty coffee. Delicious V60 pourover and really interesting cold brew. Good music. Nice slightly hipster vibe. Baristas pay lots of attention to detail when making your cup. Various bags of roasted coffee available… 30k-45k for 300-400g, depending on the bag.

Also a sourdough bakery. Load up on some pan de masa madre here! Options for vegans.

We liked this spot more than La Maria, but La Maria is also good if you want a solid cup of specialty coffee.

Very nice beach. Constantly visited by locals.
4x4 needed to access the beach. Very soft sand.
Good for snorkeling.
Sand can get VERY hot! Bring water shoes or a good pair of sandals.

We went to the Atlasmara bank, but they were already closed. Across the street is an exchange office, but they only change into Zambian Kwacha. But they will call someone to come to the exchange office to change to Malawi Kwacha there. We could count as often as we wanted and exchange in peace without getting scammed.

Nothing vegetarian to eat. Only meat nothing special. We did not like it.

Looks like a hotel which is mainly for oil workers. But very clean (best in Angola so far). Nice views, ocean access and top wifi. 35000kz for two persons including dinner (buffet+1water+1beer) and breakfast. AC and moskito net.

Vegetarian restaurant that offers a vegan lunch with vegetarian (cow’s milk/eggs) desserts. Lunch is 10k for a small and 12k for a large. This is a vegan’a paradise. You actually leave full after eating a healthy meal for a great price. You get a bowl of fruits or soup, the main lunch plate, and a juice. Definitely come here!

They also sell tofu labeled as ‘queso de soya’.
