Nice little museum that shows you a small insight to the Iraqi invasion. 30 minutes is enough.

Very large space- view/walking to bay - 3 horse trailers when I arrived. They left and it’s just my van and another car here overnight. No signs no harassments and no knocks. Highly recommend it as always leave the place cleaner then when you arrived! Thank you!

Quite spacious parking with lots of big trees for shade. Located next to a park with a Starbucks that has free open WiFi. Also toilets, shaded picnic tables and drinking water dispenser next to the Starbucks in the park.

Minimal noise from the surrounding roads but it is right next to a mosque.

We parked the car next to the toilet building. electricity from the next room. There are standing toilets and an open shower (no door, only cold water with a bucket). Everything is very outdated. You can only pay cash ($10pp). You can have dinner by the fire inside. Catfish TZS 18.000 p kg. (only choice you have) It's OK, but not special. Friendly staff. It's not your money worth. Cruiser is too heavy for the wooden bridge. You can only use a terrible 4x4 road next to the shops.

This rest area exceeded my expectations on this loney road. The bathrooms were clean, stocked, heated, and had hot water. It is also well lit.

Primitive campground tucked away. Just showed up and parked. You can stay for up to 14 days according to the website. Parked with a 35 foot rig and it was a bit tight. Perfect for tents and vans. Bigger rigs may have trouble fitting without sticking out into the road (signage says roads must be clear.) We drove in a car and checked out the space before moving the RV and if you’re able, I’d recommend doing the same.

Stop by for coffee, which is worth $2000. You can leave your luggage and you can also use the shower for other prices respectively. It should be said that the lady who helped us said that it is also a hostel and therefore, there may be rooms available. Very nice place and with pleasant attention.

We arrived in the late afternoon, some adults passed by, we asked if we could spend the night there and they said no problem. However, about 30 minutes later all the kids from the village (around 20 plus) came to see us. They are kind and boisterous but they didn’t leave until well past sunset and we were up retreating in the rooftop tent.

Went there because most reviews said he was a good mechanic, although expensive.

His "employees" changed a bushing (30 minutes) and as it was quite fast, I let him proceed to change my CV joint because it was leaking.

After hours to dissasemble the front hub, he took off to find the part. He returned with a genuine sealee Toyota hub seal kit so I was quite happy.
He then took off again somewhere and after a while, I see him and his "employees" fitting a completely different kit. It had already been opened a while ago and was all dusty and looking very bad. It really upset me so I told me and he said "the original doesn't fit" and blablabla. I had no choice but to let him proceed and finish the job... After 7 hours, I try the car and I hear weird noises so I returned to the garage straight away. He says it's nothing. I see him unbolt my wheel and put Teflon tape on my front axle hub (between the hub and the cap) which is not something you should do ever.... Anyway, we decide to give up and leave with my wife and now we have this annoying sound coming from the front of the vehicle. I also asked him twice if a wheel alignment would be necessary after this job (you have to disconnect swivel arms) and he said absolutely not.
Conclusion, my steering wheel needs to be at 2 o'clock for my car to go straight.

It is a disaster and I am so mad at myself for trusting this guy with my Cruiser.

He charged me 1000 DHR for the 30 minutes job to change the bushing and 2800 for the CV joint...

Thats 350 euros completely wasted as I will have to redo everything in a proper workshop as soon as I leave Morocco.

I asked him for pricing at least 20 times and he refused to answer, giving me vague answers.

To avoid at all cost.

I thought the rooms were fine. I took a suite (room 108) @ 3000 AFN/night. The compound is secure and bike is safe. That’s all that matters.
Best choice in Jalalabad before or after border. I checked 3 other places in town - they were very poor.
They serve breakfast and will get you any dinner from outside. Also souvenirs. English speaking helpful staff.

Nice little home restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great empanadas, great milanesa (though not as filling as in other places), good budín de pan for 7500 ARS altogether. Good breakfast, too (2 small omelettes and 1 café con leche for 4000 ARS ). Lovely Doña Julia.
Need to add that she also has private rooms for about 7000 ARS! (I was staying elsewhere though, so I can't comment on that)
