.....
Great FREE spot on the river next to the overflow area by the dam. Sign says.... 'no swimming' but does not say 'no camping'. This is outside the National Park.
This one spot on the river is on a narrow road with a fire pit. Above the road is a turning area with fire pits, plenty of space for several vehicles, large enough for a 24ft to turn around.
2 bars on Roger's service. Data 4G reception

Per my last comment. I was wrong lol. Google maps took us to the lot right before the road down to this spot which is closed. But this spot was still open. Great for a night or for river access if you are planning on paddling but not great for more than a night. Heavily trafficked and lots of trash. Pack in pack it out.

Report Check-In

Gate to get down is currently closed. One spot right of the road before the gate in the bush to camp for a night

Report Check-In

Got down okay, but took us several attempts and some stunt driving to get back up without bottoming out. Wouldn't recommend for other fwd sedans.

Report Check-In

As described, great little spot. No bear sign, road was rough on the way in, would recommend 4wd in heavy rain to get back out.

Report Check-In

I wouldn’t say 4x4 is necessary but definitely be careful and take it slow. I’d say anything like a mid sized SUV and bigger with clearance can get down easily, my 2003 stock astro got down fine!

Beautiful and quiet, there’s a sign that says no swimming, boating, etc. but nothing saying you can’t camp! There’s room for 3-4 rigs with rock fire rings at each spot. There’s a gorgeous waterfall if you walk down the path into the trees a bit, 11/10 recommend!

Report Check-In

great spot for a night , very quiet agree with the others road is quite rough but we made it in our dodge caravan

Report Check-In

Big holes at the entrance slope, 4x4 helps on the way back out! But seen a small compact car at the bottom when we arrived late Friday night. Easy access for decent sized rigs! Long box truck with a 25ft trailer would be absolute max in our opinion. Super quiet and wasn’t many bugs! Room for multiple campers with good privacy too!

Report Check-In

Pot holes at entrance are massive and filled with loose dust, any van or sedan without a lift will struggle to get through, we did not attempt

Report Check-In

such a gorgeous spot and there's a waterfall right behind the camp site. gorgeous sunset! there were a couple other cars parked below with me but they were tent camping somewhere (to my surprise when running into them hiking up the waterfall haha).

the only think I would say is the road is very very sketchy with huge potholes for my Toyota rav4. wouldn't want to do it again.

Report Check-In

Intentamos llegar al sitio, pero tenía al inicio de la pista muchos huecos y con el vehículo de alquiler no quisimos acceder por la pista, dormimos muy cerca de ahí,

Report Check-In

We just checked in for our first visit here. That is to all those who have left coordinates and pic, it’s even more picturesque than my wife and I envisioned.
Accessibility is exactly as described. Pot holes at the start of the access road might be a bit rough on a small car, but manageable in dry conditions for sure.
We are traveling with an F-350, it was a cake walk with our truck. A few other campers here tonight, they got in with cars and small SUVs.

Report Check-In

after you pass the bumpy section make sure you turn left and not right, it doesn't look like it goes anywhere but it very much does. got to the river side, very calming background sound, there's a fire pit but it's too cold for me atm. Cell reception is decent and looks like there's multiple spots down here

Report Check-In

Nice place close to the river and close to Mount Revelstoke National Park. Be careful if you decide to park to the spot near the river, since there is a dam the level of the river change quickly. when we are arrived (around 6 PM) the level of water go up of 1m and 2 hours later it go down of 3m. When we were the grass was not been flooded. Be careful also the road can be tricky to go up with a 2wd.

Report Check-In

Groovy spot! There's a low spot right by the river that a small rig could get into. But not lots of space to turn around so I recommend backing in. Otherwise though there's parking further up like others have said!

Report Check-In

I entered in the dark and didnt realize how bad the initial descent was. Almost got stuck going back up on the way out driving my promaster 2500. It is very sandy right now and easy to spin out. Be careful. Ot was n amazing spot otherwise.

Report Check-In

The entrance road is directly after the parking lot. The road is VERY bumpy at the beginning, then gets a bit better. We made it with one person looking from the front if the car touches the ground and one driving. After this, we took the first to the left which lead to the spots down on the river. there are 2 spots a little above the waterline and one really close to the water. We too met two young men telling everybody about the place getting flooded and a flood just 2 hours earlier and thought they just wanted to scare us away BUT the lower spot indeed had been flooded shortly before, you could see the waterline on the way going down and the trees. So maybe these guys are true. Well, we decided to camp not there and as the more elevated spots were taken we stayed on a pullout on the dirtroad above, which was still beautiful. Not that many mosquitos but still bugspray was useful.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot. Well worth the extra few minutes drive to stay somewhere really nice rather than staying in town or at that truck stop at the highway junction.
There is one section of the road down which is a bit rough but definitely doable in 2WD with a bit of ground clearance.
Not too many level spots and it seems to get busy in the summer.
If you don't want to risk the road down there's also a parking right next to the road before the track down to here which is easily accessible and flat but doesn't have the views!

Report Check-In

Excellent site with view of River. Peacefull

Report Check-In

Very rough getting up or down to or from the spot. You have to drive slow and careful. Other than that, great spot to spend the night and to have a fire. Right on the water with a beautiful view in the morning. Peaceful.

Report Check-In

Such an incredible spot! What we thought was the road down was blocked off with a gate but then we realized it was the next side road down. The road down is bumpy but worth it, just take it slow :) Stayed here 2 nights.

Report Check-In

This place is still open and accessible. The turn is after the parking lot, the road is a bit harsh at the beginning but im better conditions later. The rest is as described by others, next to the river and nice waterfalls. We were alone for the night and just a couple of cars came by during the morning but didn't even get out of the car, just turned back.

Report Check-In

The gate is now closed to this location

Really a good spot!! This place is awesome. We arrived around 7pm ishh and it was already occupied by 1 car and a tent and two van. We didn’t know where to park to not block the view of the others but there is plenty of space. Pretty quiet and a two bar of cell services.

Report Check-In

Spot is still nice but I feel like the first part of the road is getting worse every time I come back. This time I had trouble getting back up in my Chevy Express 2500 (heavy van with rwd) as my tyres spun a few times.

Report Check-In

Super awesome river camping spot just outside of town. Road wasn’t too bad at all - my Jetta Sportwagon made it down easy peasy. We found a nice patch of grass next to the river that was super flat and soft! HIGHLY recommend 😊

Just got here. A little rough road to get down here but it’s beautiful and quiet. Ill attach a video and pictures

couple of spot for tent, hamock or van. easy access. beautiful spot, awesome waterfalls and river. we had nice neighbours ! ~~~

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot at the river with moses falls close by. Make sure to come when it's still bright out so you don't get a "bad" spot

Report Check-In

This place was absolutely stunning. Our favourite so far. The road into/out of the spot is very bumpy but it’s short. Everyone was friendly to us but a lot of traffic by locals during the day time.

Report Check-In

Good spot by river 👍 As described. The gravel is a bit steep. I hope our van is going to kick it tomorrow.

Report Check-In

Super nice place to camp for the night. Super quiet, lots of other people here, and lovely place to stay. There is a fork in the road when you get here, if you want to stay near the river take the left fork, the right one leads you to small sites with fire pits (about 4 of them?

Report Check-In

By river, popular spot a few minutes to Revelstoke. No swimming. Quiet night, show up early for premium spot. many available.

Report Check-In

Busy place when we were here. Super sites right beside the river.

Report Check-In

Real nice spot next to the river, but has maybe been a bit ruined by the ease and popularity. It’s a recreation site that leads to a waterfall, people have set up camp blocking the paths, as well as using the paths as places to poo. Very angry local man walked through and called by law

Report Check-In

Really nice place. To be honest, there is only one good spot next to the river. We stayed here for about 5 nights. There could be some unfriendly locals trying to scare you that the water level will drain you :D so that you can move away from the good spot. Don’t fall for that.

Report Check-In

Great spot. several fire pits and good views. The sound of the waterfall a short way off is nice. Thanks!

Report Check-In

Beautiful view of the river, lots of space to park but not secluded camping as you will probably be surrounded by other campers in the parking lot. Also keep your eye out for an unfriendly ‘local’. Young guy in a truck camper, tried to scare us away from parking here. He claimed that they open the flood gate every night on the dam and this whole area floods... it’s not true! He clearly wants this place to himself, as it was very popular, 7 different campers here at night! Don’t let people like him ruin these free spots for others!

Beautiful FREE spot by the river with views of Hydro Dam and mountains.
First part of road is bumpy but smoothes out.
Has Fire pits.
30 second walk to Waterfall.
Space for 4+ Cars

Report Check-In

Great spot. Highly recommend. Close to town, beautiful, free.

Report Check-In

really beautiful place, absolutely recommended!

Report Check-In

Short but bumpy road to the spot. But not a problem to get there with a car.
Beautiful next to a river and you just hear the noises from the waterfall.
At day time there are many people and go for a walk

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

Short bumpy road with rocks but we did it with a basic urban rental car. There are some spots down but only one is located right next to the river, with great views and private spaces. A lot of fire pits, very quiet night. Recommended!

Report Check-In

nice place there is waterfall near by
and there is a place for like 6 vans a bit close to each other.
but still a great place near hiking spot and 15 min from town :)

Report Check-In

Drive down to the place is a little bumpy, but there are a lot of spots. The area is right next to the river on one side and surrounded by trees on the other. Little did we know a path (2 min walk) through the trees led to such a beautiful waterfall. Great place for a quiet sleep and pretty scenery.

Report Check-In

Just as described. Remote and gorgeous spot. thanks to suitcasetraveles for reporting this gem!!!

it is not big rig friendly, as the road in is very narrow and rough, and there isn’t much enough room to turn around.

This spot is incredible!! Very private, with literally a one minute walk to a breathtaking waterfall (which is all you can hear as you drift off to sleep). Watching the steam rising off of the river while sitting at my campfire was amazing. As stated, there are two fire pits above this spot, and room for many campers. Two bars of service with LTE. I couldn't say enough good things about this incredible site.
