Mexico
NOT OPEN ANYMORE !!!
it was sold and it's now a private property ! just go at the flat place 150m before your arrive at the ocean as it appears in the app (sport field).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
not a campground anymore !! it was sold and it's a private property now. they let me sleep a little bit further though, in the flat place you can see in the app as well, 150 meters from the beach.
Report Check-InGood small campsite with two palapas on the beach ! Same entrance than San Lucas but turn left at the fork, price : 150$. Friendly owner. Apparently really good place for fishing :) good toilets but really bad hot showers. Good coverage also.
Report Check-Inlooks like it's been deserted, toilet block barred up but clear flat spot for camping. no one came for money. bar and restaurant next door in the San Lucas site.
Report Check-Inempty spot like a parking lot, no one came for money... few cars in and out to go fishing but mostly quiet. there is a restaurant next door in the San Lucas campsite.
Report Check-Inwe slept hete 1 night
beautifull beach but low level so not so good to swim
a lot of fishermen at night
bathroom and restroom were closed
the woman came at the morning and ask for a fee "what you want to give" bevause no aminitees at the moment
we gave 80 pesos
Gravel parking lot at the beach. Some fishermans there. Calm and clean. 1 shower and 1 restroom. Old but clean.
Report Check-InEverything is the same, quiet, showers, nice beach but te price is now 150 pesos for one night, two persons.
Report Check-In- 100 pesos per palapa per night
- hot shower
- very nice older US couple lives here during winter
- quiet
- 4 palapas
- nice place
100 Pesos per night, hot shower and flush toilet.. Very beautiful spot, as described.
Report Check-InGreat place, 100 pesos a night (only a barbed wire fence separates this from the San Lucas Cove campground next door.) Lots of Pelicans hummingbirds, cranes and other sea birds. Level parking. Crushed seashell beach, tide comes in once a day. Beautiful sun rises. Hot shower and banos available. Great tecel reception but only "edge" for data. Sue and Royce live here 5 months out of the year. Locals launch fishing boats here. They'll sell fish to you when they return. It's on a lagoon, not the actual sea of Cortez.
Report Check-InEverything described by visitor before.....BUT:there is a flushing toilet and a hot Shower.....in the two little building near to the entrance.
If there is a big Rv standing on the Beach model Chieftain, ask for Sue, she will give you friendly assistance, the are retired travellers, helping the village,
and take a little bit care of the place...
The place is quiet, fisherman go out early, nice birds also hummingbirds to watch...
Overall a good stop for 100 peso per Car
Now open for wild camping with no facilities.
Beatrice comes around every day to collect the 100 peso fee.
Couple of palapas and you can park within a metre of high tide mark if you want.
Crystal clear water.
Nice lagoon view, fish jumping, lots of birds and peace and quiet
after big storms last year Camp Camacho was left in disarray and not maintained
we came here not knowing this
RV park San Lucas Cove is right beside it
this place is on the water with no operating sites but a couple of Palapas still remain.
there was no office but the chain across entrance looked like it had been down for quite sometime
after we'd been here about an hour a woman showed up named Beatrice saying it was not really a campground anymore, but that she was the owner
because there were no services she would not charge us the usual $15 but a donation would be a gift
we gave here $3 and she was happy
she was very friendly and we chatted a while before she left
it's very quiet and we were right on the beach
supposed to be good fishing here
water was very calm
beach is full of shells and fairly clean
