Latest Check-Ins

Overlanders are officially no longer welcome to camp here. The place is open and there is no longer a fence preventing you from driving in. They just don't show camping anymore, but Luna is across the street with decent facilities. The next day we came back to buy two coffes and brownies, $7. ok. We needed to catch up on email/banking so we used their Wi-Fi for about 2 hours, after which point they demanded an extra $3 just fit the privilege of hanging out and using the internet. It's like like it was even that busy that we were taking up space others can use. Bad vibes. Didn't come back again, went to magnific rock instead, MUCH better views, and better coffe too. Did not fuss about us using Wi-Fi.

We wanted to stay here but some people around told us that it is closed over the weekend. But we dont know if it is like that every weekend.

Not possible to stay there anymore!!! The lady from the neighbor property build a fence around her property. So now it is not possible to enter the Cafe con leche property with a car, only as a pedestrian. The fence blocked the entrance gate for any size of cars! The owner of Cafe con leche will go to the court but it takes time. There is a small new Campground "La Luna" closed to the hostel. But it has a small entrance for cars not longer than 6,5 Meters and not higher than 2,7 m.

WARNING: please take the road coming from TULA because the other road is pretty rough!!!

A little bit expensive at $15 per night. We opted to park on the beach, pretty safe, camped for 2 nights and no problem. They sell smoothies , coffee and beer. We bought some drinks and got to use their wifi and bathrooms.

This place us a must if you like a very comfortable homey feel with some fantastic surf right in front of your eyes. Choice of at least three or four surfbreaks suitable for all levels in walking distance. The beach itself is also very nice, for swimming, sunbathing, yoga and in the afternoon with low tide for running as well. Cafe con Leche has a decent Choice of different rental boards, but otherwise you can find more in 2 minutes walk, at Magnificent Rock (where they offer yoga classes at 09.00 am and in the afternoon, in one of the most beautiful yoga studio's.. Go for a sun downer too)! If you like you are welcome for great family dinners at 7.30 at Café con Leche. Very yummie bananabread and killer brownies highly recommended in combination with vanilla icecream. Yam! Good strong coffees in the morning. They offer full breakfast and lunch as well. There are snacks, beers, cocktails, whiskey etc on offer. Actually you can get most of this all day from the Kitchen, just ask one of the (super lovely) volunteers. That said you are Welcome to cook your own food in their communal well equiped kitchen upstairs, where there is a big table , couches and bathroom for you to use. Their WiFi is one of the best we had. There is laundry service, a pool, hammocks. So much!!!They have space on their property for two to three vans, but when they are full, you might be pretty safe outside of the gate As well. There is a guard all night and three dogs, which are all very CUTE! Special schout out to the owner Mark, who is the friendliest most welcoming Guy ever. Helps with everything, including calling a welder for a little reperation on the backdoor. There is nothing not too like here. Maybe that there is no shade for your vehicle, but strong winds provide some relief and who wants to sit inside with all of this in your yard anyway? Do check out their website and instagram for more information!

Great place. It's a small hostel with space for two to three rigs. Max. length is 11m, but you need good turning abilities to make it thru the gate. You can use the common living room, kitchen, fridge, balcony, bathrooms which we really enjoyed. They even serve meals if you want. Good wifi.

Nice place and location, a bit far from stuff but thats ok. Nice to use the huge livingroom upstairs along with the kitchen. Has 6 burners, oven, a blender fridge and freezer, Bring some strong stuff for pina coladas ;) There were cleaners but make sure to keep it clean cause the owner can get grumpy.. makes you take take out garbage etc .. also dont use too much water, if you dont want owner too nickpick on you cause theres never enough. Bring lots of food the foodtrucks have a couple veggies that's it.

Great place to stay. Paid 10$ per car with electricity and water. Very clean showers/bathrooms. Nice area to relax and to enjoy live:) three lovley dogs and they were very friendly to our dog. It is a bit tricky for big rigs to get into the property (tree in front of the gate) We just fit in and we are 12 feet high. Only thing missing was shade. As the hotel is new all the plants and threes are still small.

Best beachfront place in Central America so far!

We came here for one or two nights but stayed for five.
Marc is really nice and constantly making everything for you to feel like at home.
Secured place, beachfront, electricity, water, shower, swimming pool, awesome owner, wifi, vegetable truck coming 3 times a week, restaurant, hammocks, fresh beers, kitchen, laundry, .... more than everything you need is available there.
We spent the first night (no need 4wd) on the beach and the others in the secured place (was a bit too windy to stay on the beach).
Good surf.
Don't miss this place, it should already be on your bucket list ;-)

It was a great cozy place to stay, met two van travellers and got inspired to get momentum with my own van plan.

Awesome place! Right on the beach with great surfing. Brand new setup. Camped on the grounds of the hotel with power, water and use of bathrooms. He was just getting restaurant up and running when we were there. Secure grounds lock up with a night guard. The owner Marc is a super cool, very helpful guy and an overlander as well so he knows the drill.
