There are several flat campsites in what looks like a dirt parking lot. Campers came in until 12:30 AM and the place was crowded with no privacy. The traffic on 525 seemed to go on all night. The views were pretty, but I’d not stay here again. I’ve been coming to Sedona for 35 years and have loved it until the last 15. The place is nothing like it used to be. Traffic is awful, you can hardly find a parking place and there are too many people everywhere (including hikes). This will likely be my last stop here. Also, the camping around Sedona sucks.

Awesome little spot for a few nights. We got to see cows and a beautiful sunset. Fair warning, it does get pretty packed in the evenings so try to get there an hour or so before the sun goes down. There’s also a designated area closer to the entrance called ‘Surprise’ that’s a bit bigger! Enjoy.

Great spot for the night. Beautiful sunset. And you may wake up to a hot air balloon overhead. It can get crowded since this is one of the few designated camping spots in Sedona.

Report Check-In

One of the few free camping spots remaining near Sedona. Beautiful views and very quiet at night.

Report Check-In

This is the last camping spot on the road , north of here is No camping everywhere. does not matter if there is sign or not, and they put down anyway lots of signs.also the road going north are not usable when wet. So if is Rainy do not bother to drive out here… you probably find a temporary barrier

Great spot! Some other vehicles in the lot but otherwise just what I needed for the night.

Report Check-In

one of the only designated camping areas! stayed with two other vans on a Sunday night. arrived around 445p. two clean Porta potties. plenty of space, but could easily be overcrowded in the busy season

Report Check-In

Pretty place to sleep at. Was nice n quiet during the night. Around 11pm, a sheriff or park ranger pulled up and sat with his lights on for some time. Not sure why he came as he didn’t bother me. Did hear a pack of coyotes towards the beginning of the night. Other vehicles were all respectful of each other n kept lights off so we could see the stars. Down fall - outside my car there’s a few spots with used toilet paper on the ground which doesn’t make sense as there’s two decent porter potty’s right in the area. Some people just suck. Would stay here again though. My dog and I loved it.

Report Check-In

Great place! 2 portapotties available. Beautiful morning views! Wasn’t too crowded on a Sunday night— 7 rigs total— could fit 3 more! Don’t need 4WD. 2 bars of 5G verizon, not great, but fine!

Packs up quick. Quiet in the evening. Off-roading is a thing during the day but it dies down as the sun sets

Report Check-In

The area was packed. Many campers came in after dark and had to back out because there was no space. Try to arrive early. Even then, there are a few campers that are staying more than one might.
We were next to "the generator guy".
Rough road coming in, but fine with a Promaster.

Report Check-In

Easy to find. This is the smallest campsite on the road. Stayed here 1 night at at Greasy Spoon other nights. 2-3 bars of Verizon.

This is one of several designated camping areas in the Red Rock Ranger District.

Camping is not permitted outside these areas.

Less busy compared to Surprise.

Report Check-In

ALL individual dispersed sites are closed on this road, and probably all 525 sub-roads too. There are now large designated camping areas.

Report Check-In

crowded as a crowd ohh yeah jeezus for cripes sake

Report Check-In

The road getting here is not very smooth, but pretty much any rig can do it. We stayed for one night at a wide open spot that could fit multiple rigs but we had it to ourselves on a Sunday night. There is quite a bit of traffic on Rd 525 so I'd suggest picking a spot that's a good distance from the road if you can. Verizon reception is OK (1-2 bars).

Nice spot, good views comment comment comment

One of the better spots on the 525 forest road. The dust isn’t as bad here. Shared the space with 4 others. Stayed for a week and had nice sunsets. Ok cell signal.

Report Check-In

Dirt isn’t dusty which is nice, good tree in the middle. Looks like it gets muddy when it rains though; thankfully not an issue today.

Report Check-In

Nice spot but really dusty. Couldn’t use my vent fan or even open windows. Maybe just the time of year. Glad it got cold at night.

Report Check-In

Lots of sites all down the road. Washboard road is pretty bumpy but no crazy pot holes. 2 bars Verizon LTE

Report Check-In

Many spots along this road. It was really busy! Levelling was hard / impossible. Quiet night. The road is quite good.

Report Check-In

good pull out off FR 525. awesome views, not a lot of traffic and has some fire pits.
