Something not right?

Description

After going down from A1 to the south, a steep but well-maintained road goes down to Matanuska River. In front of a privately owned bridge (with a 'no trespassing' sign) there are several places, partially direct at the river. Fire-rings, AT&T 2bars, quiet. Behind the bridge, there is a whole peninsula to explore.

We stayed one night there. We went down and up with no problems on the road. It says private at the beginning but we think it is private from the bridge. We saw other cars come and leave boat on the river. Very quite and nice. Almost no internet signal. No services.

Nice place for 2 maximum 3 rigs. Steep road but not a problem even for bigger rigs.
We were visited by a moose with 2 babies late in the evening.

says private road at the entrance just at the highway, self painted and might not be serious as per the good reviews of the place - but we didn't go down. just FYI

Very nice and quait place near river and glacier park.

2 excellent spots! Att, but no verizon. Don't block the boat ramp where the rafters come out.

Serine. Great views through the trees. Only one private spot but it backs up to the river. Absolutely no road noise. Be mindful of the frayed cable on the ground

This was still plowed and was easy to get to after a pretty burly winter. It gets nice sun into the evening and isn’t right on the main road, which was awesome.

We loved this campsite. Right by the river. Views of the mountains. Fire ring with plenty of firewood/driftwood around. We stayed here two nights in our 19ft pop up camper. Plenty of room. One night a second camper was here also. There is a little traffic over the bridge which goes back toward private property but not enough to bother us. Didn’t see any wild life. Mosquitos not bad at all. 1 bar LTE AT&T. Really great spot to stay while we did our glacier tour with NOVA guides. Their headquarters is just 5 min down the road. There is a boat launch here so just be sure not to park and block it. The only people we saw use it were the NOVA whitewater guides and they didn’t bother us.

Good place for a couple of tents or cars. Quite quiet, charming sound of the river.

I spent two nights here right by the river. It is quiet. Only a few cars cross the private bridge. It has a lot of driftwood to make fire. Three places are between the trees directly at the river. Additionally there is a gravel place for bigger cars. A table with bench is also available.
