Big parking at the end of North Cape ! They are toilets at the gift shop (open 10AM-6PM). We ask at the restaurant if we could stay the night and she said they were no night security and it was no problem to sleep in the car.
Good place to stay. We were the only vehicle overnight. There is a dirt road that goes behind the visitor center but we didn’t want to drive over there because of a large wet pothole and rain was forecasted.
Really interesting nature trail that follows the coast and windmills. Visitor center and restaurant building was closed. Website said open daily but the sign on the door was for info from 2020.
Very easy and large area to accommodate large RV’s
Relaxing noise of the waves from the ocean
Boy is it a hot one today. Arrived here at 5:45, another van already here, lots of people in cars. Hoping for it to cool down overnight.
Report Check-InWhat a great spot, nice restaurant, gift shop. Better still take the dirt road on the right before the parking lot for restaurant to light house area and enjoy the night, view the sunset and sunrise following morning and spend some time walking the trail through the wind mills and back along the cliffs, stay aways away from the cliffs though. Wild life such as seals, eagles, foxes.Enjoy.
Report Check-InFollowed the dirt road behind the gift shop and found a beautiful level pull-off area for the night, alongside a lovely hiking trail. Very windy though! We woke up surrounded by clean white wooden shingles on the ground that hadn’t been there the night before. Heads up! Lol.
Report Check-InStayed on off season so was not busy at all! Amazing view of sunset and sunrise and there were one or two locals that came by while we stayed there. It’s windy tho so be prepared. Great for tent or RVs or any vehicles.
Report Check-InIf you keep right to a gravel way before the parking place, you can drive (slowly and if not many visitors at off-season) all around the restaurant to one of a few places infront (north) of the lighthouse, directly at the sea. Undisturbed panoramic view. Toilets in the gift shop until 6pm. Stealthy behavior and friendliness to walking visitors required. Telus2bars.
