Description

Big parking at the end of North Cape ! They are toilets at the gift shop (open 10AM-6PM). We ask at the restaurant if we could stay the night and she said they were no night security and it was no problem to sleep in the car.

Thought this would be a quiet place, but turned out to be a teen hangout. Pickups doing burnouts, etc. Our traveling companions' RV was damaged by three beer bottles bring thrown at it around midnight. Be warned!

Spent 2 nights, one in the parking lot & one on the cliffs. The parking lot has a strong odor of decaying sea matter, the air on the cliffs is much better.

Quiet, with a few other campers. Great dark skies. Some notice from wind turbines.

5G att service.

Restaurant closed, no one leased the concession rights for 2023.

Easy walking trails with boardwalks. Great sunrise & sunset.

Beautiful view, peaceful spot to stay the night watched the sunset and sunrise! We caught nice stripe white bass! We took the dirt road behind the centre but there’s lots of space I fornt of it. Big parking lot!

Nice flat parking with room for very large rigs.
not lit at light except for the shop but it feels safe.
we stayed one night.
For EV users there is a free 8kw J1772 plug you can use!

Awesome place to spend the night, abit windy so park away from the cliffs.

Great place to sleep the night. Gorgeous sunset and sunrise. Walking trails right near by. Please keep this place clean so they allow us to use it as it’s beautiful.

Un très beau spot sur le bord de la mer et une magnifique vue des falaises et du coucher du soleil

Beautiful location. You have the option to stay at the pavement parking lot or take the dirt road back to multiple spots close to the edge of the cliff right close to the lighthouse. Beautiful sunset and sunrise.

Lovely place to sleep! Very quiet except for one local car doing a few donuts and then zooming away in the middle of the night.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay. We were the only vehicle overnight. There is a dirt road that goes behind the visitor center but we didn’t want to drive over there because of a large wet pothole and rain was forecasted.
Really interesting nature trail that follows the coast and windmills. Visitor center and restaurant building was closed. Website said open daily but the sign on the door was for info from 2020.

Very easy and large area to accommodate large RV’s
Relaxing noise of the waves from the ocean

Boy is it a hot one today. Arrived here at 5:45, another van already here, lots of people in cars. Hoping for it to cool down overnight.

What a great spot, nice restaurant, gift shop. Better still take the dirt road on the right before the parking lot for restaurant to light house area and enjoy the night, view the sunset and sunrise following morning and spend some time walking the trail through the wind mills and back along the cliffs, stay aways away from the cliffs though. Wild life such as seals, eagles, foxes.Enjoy.

Followed the dirt road behind the gift shop and found a beautiful level pull-off area for the night, alongside a lovely hiking trail. Very windy though! We woke up surrounded by clean white wooden shingles on the ground that hadn’t been there the night before. Heads up! Lol.

Stayed on off season so was not busy at all! Amazing view of sunset and sunrise and there were one or two locals that came by while we stayed there. It’s windy tho so be prepared. Great for tent or RVs or any vehicles.

Report Check-In

If you keep right to a gravel way before the parking place, you can drive (slowly and if not many visitors at off-season) all around the restaurant to one of a few places infront (north) of the lighthouse, directly at the sea. Undisturbed panoramic view. Toilets in the gift shop until 6pm. Stealthy behavior and friendliness to walking visitors required. Telus2bars.
