A good place to just park for the night. We made sure we parked in the RV section. Yes, we heard several trains throughout the night.
Report Check-InOpen 24 hours (as is the connected A&W restaurant). Parked in the east parking lot which is designated for RV’s and trucks. The west parking lot has signs stating 2-hour parking only. Have heard they lock the east doors by the bathroom overnight so you have to use the main entrance on the west, but the east doors were unlocked when we tried them. The coffee is not very good. There is a Tim Hortons about a block west which has much better coffee. The highway and train traffic didn’t seem to bother us.
Report Check-InA truck stop that really only likes trucks. Showers are available only to truckers. In the night the door is locked on the side where RVs can park so you have to walk around the building to get in. Still , it was quieter than other truck stops I’ve been to coz there is an area by the A and W for rvs to park and it’s away from the constant noise of idling trucks. Wear earplugs to deal with train noise.
Report Check-InWe didn’t see the RV area, so we ended up parking with the trucks across the street, where an A class RV was already parked. There was quite a bit of truck noise (understandably) and several trains passed by during the night with loud horns. We looked again in the morning, and found RV parking near the A&W. The car parking areas near A&W have signs saying 2hr parking max, but we didn’t see these signs near the RV area, so perhaps you can park there overnight.
Report Check-InRegular truck stop with a small rv section separate from the truck parking area. Not a great space for dogs, but worked for one night.
