This is part of Riding Mountain Nation Park, right next to Lake Clear in a picnic area. There are no signs to say no parking. There is a sign within the picnic area which says no tents. But the small grave park car seems ok to stay in. Amazing views over the lake and a great spot for a dip. Toilet next to picnic area. Picnic area has fire stoves and benches, with free logs. Traffic practically nonexistent in the late evening until 9am. Obviously it is assumed you have a park pass like we do. But if not, according to the locals, no one is bothered by rangers here. enjoy

The ranger woke us up and told us it was not allowed to sleep here (as we already knew, being in a national park) he gave us a ticked and said that if we were in the other spot in the woods we would have gotten several tickets.
Report Check-InGreat spot by the lake, with a pit toilet and a couple of tables. The wind can really blow hard across the lake, so it's not always pleasant to be outside.
Report Check-InAwesome spot. Not sure we were allowed to stay overnight as there is a camping area in the park but... we slept there twice and nobody checked on us. The clear lake is so clean and limpid. We swam and cooked on the barbecue. Fire wood, toilet and picnic tables. We spotted a black bear on our way there so packed out and in every single time.
Report Check-InWe slept there in our van with no problem . There is a parking by the beach and another in the forest. There are picnic tables, fire rings and free wood. You have to have your Canada Parks pass.
