Description

Very convenient spot on route 1 near Boothbay and Damariscotta, Maine. It is spacious and no one bothered me. Two other vans were there overnight.

Basic parking lot along highway 1. We stayed despite all the No Overnight Parking signs and didn’t have an issue. At the time of this post, all bathrooms were closed for the winter.

Bathrooms were locked. A arrived at dusk and had no problems. Two other vans were there as well. Some road noise but a very good place to stay for me.

Fine place for a night's sleep. Restrooms closed from 7:00 to 7:00.
The sign that says "no overnight parking" is still there, but we were here when the host locked and unlocked and had no problems.
The mosquitoes were miserable - worst I've experienced in Maine.

Great location. There was a sign that said no camping or overnight parking. But it was behind a truck and we didn’t see it untl the AM. Nobody bothered us.

Nice lot, just us and one other truck for the night. Could definitely hear trucks going by on Rt1 throughout the night, but it is a rest area, so par for the course. Nice view in the morning and restrooms were acceptably clean.

The bathrooms were closed when we got there 8pm and did not open at 6am. Don't plan on using facilities. Good place to get shuteye.

Spent the night in a Class B, no problems.

Rest Area east of Wiscasset. Beautiful views, picnic tables, clean bathrooms (open from 6am to 10pm). There is an old sign that says "no camping", but we asked a police officer who said that we should have no problems staying. Spent the nights with two semis and a couple of car campers. Very quiet until about 5am when traffic picks up. Great spot!
