Latest Check-Ins

Got a warning sticker that says TOW ASAP. I was parked in the jc penny parking lot. Security at least let us sleep through the night.

Looks like there is a dog parking lot right next to this space that might be open to park for a night.

Report Check-In

Stayed last night, I was alone when I pulled in around 7, but heard some people and loud music later. No one bothered me, and I preferred this to the empty store lot across the street. Parked close to entrance under light to feel safer. No toilet, but worked for quiet sleep…your close enough to target (and other big box stores) for a morning run!

Report Check-In

Okay spot.. shady cars coming in and out thru the night. Got knocked on by PD in the morning the leave. Stay at your discretion.

Report Check-In

Quiet enough to sleep, we stayed the night in the park (not the mall parking lot) in our van and no one bothered us. Porta potty at the park.

Report Check-In

Parked behind Harley Davison next to the dirt path entrance and was super quiet. Short 2 minute walk to bathroom.

Report Check-In

COMPLETELY under construction!
Attempted to stay in EMPTY JCPenny parking lot, was asked to move about dusk over to the gravel lot between Applebee’s & hotel. We moved, there were several others there including a big rig truck. What we didn’t know that it backed a restaurant that was open for breakfast. We would have left sooner, out of courtesy.

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

Good spot for overnight. Port-a-potty on site. Located behind the Harley Davidson, between the playground and dog park.

Report Check-In

Good to go as of April 2021. The dirt lot for park access or adjacent paved lots are slightly more peaceful than other spots in the nearby commercial developments. Works well for a quick overnight after checking out Meow Wolf.

Report Check-In

Villa Linda Park (South side of the mall) is currently under construction and the road is closed (Nov 2, 2020).

Villa Dog Park is still open (East side of the mall) and has a gravel parking lot and trail for exercise.

I parked by Meineke as they had a lot pretty full of cars waiting to be worked on. I saw the mall cop patrolling the area, saw several vans/campers parked in the lot around the mall, and saw a cop parked in front of Harley Davidson for a little bit.

There’s a lot of traffic through here as someone stated prior, it is a short cut for something. It’s fine for one night! Level spots & open parking lot with lots of sun for solar.

Report Check-In

Stayed here 1 night after going to the dog park (there is a sign there that says the gate is locked at 10pm). Arrived after dark... parked in the gravel parking lot by the playground. There are 2 porty pots here now. Pretty quiet.

Report Check-In

We parked in the far (north) corner of the JC Penney parking lot near the Harley Davidson store. There was also a semi truck parked here for part of the night. Didn’t see any posted signs.

The road next to this lot is a short cut of some sort, so there was more traffic than expected throughout the night. Harleys started sounding around 8am as employees arrived and bring the choppers out front. Busses start running regularly around the same time.

Otherwise it was peaceful and no one disturbed us here. The lot was fairly level and lots of sun for solar.
We had full service with Cricket and T Mobile.

The park is really nice in the daytime - dogs are welcome (there’s a sign) and there’s a nice big patch of grass (soccer field) to play in - which you don’t see often in New Mexico!

Remember to pack it out and leave it better!

Report Check-In

we stayed the night here (right next to the playground) and got an ok sleep until the dogs started coming by and barking around about 630am. we also woke up to a warning posted on the side of our van saying we would be towed if we stayed there again. you could probably get away with 1 night here but we'll go elsewhere for our second night in santa fe.

Report Check-In

Villa Linda Park - dirt road park behind large shopping mall. Trees and grassland that look like they're used as a dog park/offroading? No facilities here but could be great for a quick quiet stay near the city - its public land with no posted parking restrictions. I stayed in the JC Penny Lot around the bend (near the trail entrance/playground).
